Highest Demand Current Cues?

I’m not buying a Searing Dufferin conversion for $2500. I did pay $500 for a shaft, best $500 I spent. Got lucky, had him build one custom to my Runde cue, sold it, the one I purchased used played 100 times better.
 
if your talking supply vs demand i think two of the top three would be searing and b szam

no point in trying to rank

the third may be hercek, black boar or ????

as a somewhat affordable player i like blue grass, don't sleep on joey in cali or john champlain ( sp?) in coos bay, or.

Just curious- I never played with a Searing- why are his wood shafts worth the $500 price- what exactly separates that shaft from - say a shaft in great condition from a current excellent cue maker - IMO- like a Duzuriky, Troy Downing, Webb, etc.

This is JUST a question bc I don't know much about Searing cues.
 
I have never played with a tasc/mobely/ nitti /or dayton cue that did not play great
I have played/owned josswest/scruggs/tad/searing/gilbert/bobby hunter/ gina all well made and hit well but the 4 above felt better in my hands

Every player who has hit with my Becue cue has said the same thing, I get more action with the same hit, the Becue is the first cue that is all CF minus the pin ect., You can get them with all kinds of artwork but the "Born Naked" line is reasonably inexpensive for a top end cue, I don't know if you consider a CF a high demand current cue but I do, I know there is debate if pro's are playing the cues/shafts because of sponsorship but for me it is a great playing cue that isn't affected by humidity and temperature, I find value in that.
 
The highest demand for USA cues would probably go to McDermott. None of the high end makers are in high demand. They are a niche market with low number output levels that demand levels might exceed. Southwest is probaby the only company that actually turns out a good number of cues and the demand still far exceeds their output. Meucci, Schmelke, Viking, Pechauer and Jacoby are the others on the USA highest demand list.
 
Cueman, I appreciate your input. I should of stated most desired Cue Builder cues. If you could have threes cues with money no object who would they be built by. I thought Jasonlaus started with quite the triumvirate.

I had heard so much about Searing cues that I figured wth $500 for a shaft, if it sucks I can sell it. Got lucky I guess. Like I said the custom one he built custom to my cue while in hand didn’t play as well in my opinion. I was able to trade It for a Vigus Dufferin ebony conversion plus $100. Didn’t feel like I lost anything and I still have the nfs used Searing shaft I originally wanted to try.
 
No it’s not what cues you like, it’s what cues you can’t afford but think are the most desired!

I have a sneaky pete built by David Tice, I would consider him a world class builder, I had a couple of custom builds that I sold, both of them were amazing, as I watch players of today function is more important than form, form is beautiful but doesn't help you win games.
