Spanish Open, June 2023, from Matchroom

Are you reading me on Facebook? Those are my words exactly, dag nab it.

Kledio does have the exact same tableside demeanor as his older brother, Eklent. It was interesting to hear in an interview after their matches, which both occurred at the exact same time, that his teenager brother is in school for music. He plays the piano and some instrument that Eklent did not know the English word for, though Eklent speaks fluent English to my hear, with almost no accent. He did all the talking in the interview, which made me think his younger brother may not speak English as well as Eklent, but they sure do play pool alike.

When Eklent first came on the pool scene at 18 years old, he rose to the top, coming in the semifinals in the 2017 World Pool 9-ball Championship won by Carlo Biado, if memory serves me right. He was the talk of the pool world. Everybody bitched and moaned about how slow he played, which he does not play that slow anymore. He's 24 now and is looking to be the new sheriff in town when it comes to pool. Interesting that he's donning the Predator logo on his shirt competing in this event by Matchroom who is now partners with Cuetec.

maybe unconsciously lol, i don't have facebook but check the MR page for match schedule. it does look funny. also kind of demoralizing for the opponent i guess, like they're just strolling around with no nerves involved. the polar opposite will be playing svb next, mr elliot sanderson

Johann Chua just thrashed pool superstar Joshua Filler 9-1.
Filller will still bounce back qualify for last 64. So we could see big match up in last 64 if Filler is drawn against another big name most of whom have qualified for last 64😀

Gary Wilson has had a pretty easy time picking up 9 ball. Beat Aranas and now tied 7-7 with Mario He.

Edit: Gary beats He 9-8. Another hill-hill win over an 810 Fargo Rate.

I'm not talking about the bar table eight ball events at Super Billiards Expo but the senior event on the nine footers. As was the case when Mizerak had his senior tour, a senior means over 50. Mika is, indeed, a senior.
Yes, I understand, but in my opinion, a player who is still good enough to play in open events against the top players, and win, should have enough pride in their game to not be playing in a division against mostly significantly older players.

Same reason Phil Mickelson never played in senior tour events before he joined the LIV tour, even though he was eligible. I assume Mika needed the $$ more than Phil does.

In 2021 Phil won 4 out of the 6 senior events he entered. That was also the same year he won the PGA Championship for his 6th major win. He was definitely dabbling on both tours before LIV

So 28x800+ entered.
2 (Wojciech, Wang Can)already eliminated

8 are on Losers Side
Filler
Niels
Ko Ping Chung
Mario He
Skyler
Duong Quoc Hoang
James Aranas
Zheng
(Skyler and Aranas already thru' to last 64)

18 out of 32 on winners side are 800+

That means in last 64, we will see quite number of big matchups between 800+ as those qualified from losers side will be drawn to play winners side.
Assuming all 8 x800 on losers side qualify for last 64, probability of a 800+ on losers side playing a 800+ on winner side is 56%
What is probability that there will be at least one 800+ v 800+ match in last 64? Maybe a math guy can answer that

Anyway, we will know in few hours the draw for last 64

I don't see any upcoming matches on the schedule. They can't really be through for the day, can they?

Filler behind for most of match then sped off to hill 8-6 but footsteps behind as Sullivan Clark won't let go win a rack to trail 7-8 now breaking to win and go hill hill:LOL:
Mario He playing his roommate Hybler

No more. These are remaining loser qualification matches for last 64 KO stage which starts tomorrow.

Filler survives scare to win 9-7 to make last 64. Will be more "dangerous" now. Always good for fans when the top players make the elimination stage.
Surprised that Matchroom does not have Junior Open for Filler yet. They already started SVB Junior Open, Jayson Shaw Junior Open, FSR Junior Open. 😄

elliott sanderson made a few really silly mistakes against riku. in the worst one he fouled by hanging around with the cue on the table after a bank shot, which caused the cue ball to run into the cue instead of the 9-ball, which it would have caromed and possibly sunk.

Did he shout when he fouled?
