Actually it may have been a Mazda GLC....

Good ole Danny. Such a funny commentator but very very good at it. I will never forget one of his that is my favorite. "My Dad tole me to never ever get a tattoo". He asked his dad why not? "Because then you can never rob a bank"That's how you wind up sleeping in the street!
Any Danny D sighting is good news. He's an enduring symbol of the straight pool era.
As a commentator, Danny was at his best when he shared the booth with Billy Incardona. Not many of the legends left. Danny is a treasure. I very much enjoy his time in a booth too.
Hu
Stu…what did you say to upset Eagle Eye?Yes. Most years, I sit behind the breaker in the first row.
LOL. I'm sure you understand that this is his happy face! FYI, that picture is from the International 9-ball.
Yes he was. He played his epic World One Pocket Challenge Match against Ronnie Allen there in 1988.Thinking back on this I have my characters mixed up - it wasn't Danny, but wasn't he working at the Golden 8-ball back then?
Is that the one you are talking about here:Yes he was. He played his epic World One Pocket Challenge Match against Ronnie Allen there in 1988.
Don’t want to speak for Jay but no. Jay produced that and linked or posted it a while back. Great IMO. Ronnie was past his prime I suppose but I was blown away by some of his kicks. Danny played good too.Is that the one you are talking about here:
Ronnie was indeed past his prime….but Danny was even farther past his prime.Don’t want to speak for Jay but no. Jay produced that and linked or posted it a while back. Great IMO. Ronnie was past his prime I suppose but I was blown away by some of his kicks. Danny played good too.
I think the guy I initally mixed up the names with was actually "Little Joe" Viallpando but got it mixed up with DiLiberto. Im sure Danny would remember my dad, Francis - he was a big time character on the scene in the late 80s, alot of the time with driving him from game to game all night at 15... lol Were you around phoenix at that time?Yes he was. He played his epic World One Pocket Challenge Match against Ronnie Allen there in 1988.
I was not. Maybe one or two brief visits to Bullshooters and Kolbys.I think the guy I initally mixed up the names with was actually "Little Joe" Viallpando but got it mixed up with DiLiberto. Not so far past for either one. Ronnie was still one of the top One Pocket players and Danny still finished high in Straight Pool and 9-Ball tourneys.Ronnie was indeed past his prime….but Danny was even farther past his prime.
I was there also….Jason earned that win in 2019.LOL. I'm sure you understand that this is his happy face! FYI, that picture is from the International 9-ball.
Yes, I had the pleasure of meeting you at that event.I was there also….Jason earned that win in 2019.
