Oscar barking at Karl Boyes

oscar still competes, he travelled a lot last year. karl is 6 years retired and out of shape, i don't like his chances

Seems like you all forget that Karl Boyes along with Darren Appleton were runner-ups at World Cup of Pool in 2021,they were last minute backup team who played without any prior practice. Karl has one of the straightest strokes in the game and he can get into shape quite fast..

What does everyone think of this? Oscar is calling out Karl who said he is retired and doesn’t play anymore.

Exactly We are talking about world 8ball champion and the guy who has one of the best records (if not THE best) out of all players to ever play Mosconi Cup - he played in 4 of them (every time member of the winning team), he played 6 singles matches winning 4 and he played 12 doubles matches winning 10 - thats 14 wins against 4 losses! And I have always maintained the reasoning that his super straight stroke gave him big advantage under pressure against his opponents (same with Filler and Shaw for example). So while Oscar is a very strong player I think he just walked into a bear trap this time...

ok, so I happen to like Karl a lot, but, I also like me some Oscar. Two things here, I heard this may not happen until 2024 which would give Karl loads of time to decide if he wants to take this seriously, the mans a WC..., now, if this happens a week or two before The Cup, then I'd say there's West vs East fookery afoot! a simple hype up marketing fook about plot which would makes sense for Oscar to win since we all know the probable outcome yet again of the Cup.

Side note: with Tyler playing his best pool yet, Sky comes pretty hot, and SVB continues to play on 9'ers like they're bar box speed pool events, strangeness can happen my friends... GEAUX USA!

Not gonna happen. Karl doesn't "not play anymore" but he has another career now and is in no position to put the time in. More than good enough to have a crack at, and a chance in, a tournament but I think that's your lot.

Oscar is legitimately one of the nicest people ever to play high level pool. He has always been on the up and up in matches, never seen or heard any chearing rumors, bets his own, loves his wife and kid, and now owns his pool room. The calling out jas been good natured goading between two competitors. If Karl gets ready, I believe he is the better player. We shall see.

He’s really not. Passive aggressive person.

He has a mean streak in him. I said all pool players have the bozo gene in them. It doesn’t normally show up at home or at work but will show up in a pool hall or involving pool.

He had insulted people in games or socials that you won’t normally here someone of his stature would say.
