He was like 20 points lower and thought he could beat her cause he was a guy - BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMP!
783 to 753. Donny has a full-time job outside of pool. 10 ball in Vegas was close, Chen was expected to win using FargoRate. Still very impressive win.

I beat Line Kjorsvik in 9B once at Amsterdam 7-2. That just proves anyone can win once, I'm probably 50 points under her.

Does that mean they are both the same?
I'd gladly match up 10 ball with any woman at 660.

This is a little bit duplicitous, judging by your past exploits, 660 has you under rated. Since you are tossing out your number, what is the robustness?

Ck it out.... haven't looked for quite some time.
But I'm 3/4 of a century young.

I think Simeng Chen answered that one vs Donnie Mills twice
Actually, Donnie did better than expected according to the fargo prediction, even though he lost. I was one of several who bet on Donnie to win and was following that very closely.

he still was 753 so the job has absolutely nothing to do with it. -He thought he could win though lower in Fargo and practiced plenty before the match, lost his money and said he would not play her again.

Ummm, Rather important note: Donny had a full time job the ENTIRE time he was building that Fargo rating.

He’s a 30 point dog, has a real job, he did great to hang close. I understand he thought he could beat a girl🤣

Well, the whole reason that we are having this conversation is that a lot of dudes on here don't think that female Fargorates are equal to male Fargorates. So, within that viewpoint, it didn't "matter" to them that he was a 30 point dog. Despite their lack of belief, the two player's relative performance was almost exactly what was predicted by Fargorate.

The chauvinist folks on here don't realize that, even IF the females mostly play against one another, that the few who DO play with the male pros from time to time, establish the set point by which all the other women are measured. Mathematically. Karen Corr plays at Turning Stone, and has a Fargorate based upon what she generally scores against the male pros she has played. When she plays against females, she has a certain mathematical performance predicted against a 500 Fargo, a 600 Fargo, and a 700 Fargo rated player. If an unrated player comes in and scores the amount against Karen expected of a 600 Fargo rate player, and their performance against other known Fargorate players in a specific tournament is consistent with that rating, then that is what they will end up with. Her performance against Corr takes all the skills into account, i.e. break strength, power strokes, critical thinking skills, etc.

But she got beat by our 14 year old Florida girl Sophia Mast in Texas! 😁
I haven't heard as much of her. Maybe because Savanah is younger and super fast she gets more attention.. Do you know if she has been playing longer or shorter than Savanah (even though she is older)?

We are not all chauvinist folks as you like to say, and have said for years about this topic. At the time, the top pro women were linked almost exclusively by Karen Corr. Mike even had a video about Karen being the link. Its better now certainly with a few more top female pros mixing it up with men.

Also I'm sure you recall, at the time Siming played a few matches with male pros. One was an exhibition with Efren. One was 7 or 8 practice sets with Shane before the US Open. And the 4 or so total sets with Donnie, over 2 different sessions. I had asked Mike a few times to show Simings performance against "only" the men in her entire match history he had of her. It "was" less than her fargo at the time.

Liking another side in a bet doesn't make us all chauvinist folks, fyi. :) That's how action gets down.

If I recall, she played Shane tough even though she lost- some of the sets were close.

I think Shane said that she plays better than Billy Thorpe

she is definitely a very solid player. She withstands pressure well- at least in the matches I've watched. I hope she continues to pursue her education though because it is difficult to make a living as a pro pool player
I am impressed at how well she handles pressure at such a young age. Also, she displays the highest level of good sportsmanship win or lose.
