5 Ball

I'm over the 5 ball color shock. I own the Aramith Black set and now prefer it for 9 ball. The 6 and 7 are also different and no one says a word. I find that the lavender colored 5 is so different than a traditional purple 4 that I mentally have them disassociated from one another.
 
I hate it. I don't mind purple, but the darn 4 ball is purple. Couldn't they have just made the purple 4 and the orange 5 a slightly lighter shade?

Can't wait until next year. Maybe we can have a green 1 ball and 9 ball. After all, the blowhards in government are pushing for green...
 
Crazy thing is the color change was done with a magic marker.
With a little Denatured alcohol and a paper towel the purple disappears and it’s back to orange.

I can watch 9ball Accu Stats videos from 30 years ago on a bad TV and easily follow the game.
Today with my Hi def TV I still can’t figure out the balls. I guess I need to watch more Matchroom.
 
Unfortunately, my game sucks equally with either the new, or traditional color scheme, so not a deal breaker for me for certain. I own both the Aramith Black, and a BUNCH of traditional sets. As best I recall, BOTH are still numbered in case the color throws you off! :-)
