As far as timekeepers at every table....
I think the first year in Atlantic City there was a minor official at each table to scored and ran the clock. They may have also racked. In addition there were area referees. There was a very large problem with the scorers-timers not showing up in Atlantic City. You need about twice as many staff as tables, or people get overworked. At least the scheduling doesn't run matches for 16 hours a day like at some tournaments.
Modern chess clocks have features that solve most of the objections I've seen above. We used them in two leagues around here. I have heard they are used in carom leagues in Europe. They let you spend five minutes on a single shot if you really want to but then you have to be quicker on most shots.

you're right, he's from serbia. there's a cluster of countries there in what used to be yugoslavia. sanjin pehlivanovic is from neighbouring bosnia. same language, different religions.
fedor played perfect pool, BNR:s up until the hill where he played a smart shot on the 2 to open up a cluster but missed a fairly easy (for him) 3. gasps in the audience, noone saw that coming

I like the old Texas Express rules and it'll add more excitement back to the game for spectators and viewing.

Alot of sponsors/big endorsements in snooker back in the day and quite a few became multi millionaires.
Pool playing I doubt will ever get to that status IMO.

It’s all there in the bracket on the website… I’d say far from it. Robbie Capito beat Wojciech Szewczyk pretty handily in the winner’s qualification, Jeremy Sossei in L64, and John Morra in L32.

Chess clocks also could add increment after 5 innings. That would still allow long safety battles.. Both players shooting 5 times in one rack is rare. Atlarges stats show how long time for players should be. I think good time is 4 min each + 40 sec increment after 5 innings.
Robbie Capito plays good as hell, and has gotten better in the last year. That's how.

Why not just schedule in a quick play and slow play settings within the match. Race to 3 its fast play, rest of race is slow play. Letting players choose when to play fast and when not to play fast can be an organizational disaster.
