I agree ….those Qatar venues set the game back 20 years. Are you referring to that tomb-like mausoleum they used for the WC's? Worst place ever for a major event.

There will be at least 3 players there...The player list shows SVB, Styer, and Lombardo from the USA. Are they participating?
Seemingly so; the last day for Qatar is the 8th and the first day for Hanoi is the 10th (skipping the Peri event in Hanoi from the 5th to the 9th).Schedule wise (not pool politics wise), is it possible to play in both the Qatar Open and the Hanoi Open?
The balls are the right color, but they have huge rounded triangle shapes on them. At this point you'd think someone would run a tournament with Centennials just to be cool and different.
It's for the qualifiers. Four separate, 128 man, single elimination tournaments. One held per day. It should have probably been a race to 5 IMO for the sanity of the players and staff.LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
Looks like SVB playing Peri Open instead https://www.facebook.com/peripoolar...eYQFDep4qRGT2JBh3bQkW4Br9BP7M6LQT4HPpnymXzghlThe player list shows SVB, Styer, and Lombardo from the USA. Are they participating

I just saw a match a few minutes ago. I don't think I'll watch another one lolThe players on the stream are good.
Except complainers can't do that anymore, if the WPA gets its way. See MR vs WPA pissing contestGood for the players.
Why anyone would complain about an open in Qatar is beyond me. At least they are putting money on the tables for players. Let players choose to go or not. Complainers here just complain and do not support pool at all. Pool is an international scene and it will grow internationally and fade here in the US.
Complainers, put your money up and start a tour.
I just looked at the latest stream which ended two hours ago. I quick-stepped through it in about 15 minutes. Watching 650s (and under) is not so interesting. These are qualifiers, but maybe they could have selected the TV table matches better. I have never heard of the table brand -- Mr. Sung.I just saw a match a few minutes ago. The only way that shot makes sense as a pool shot is if the balls were not quite touching and he played so thin the 6 barely wiggled -- too little for us to see. But I think most likely all three people involved got it wrong.
That's one of the most weird shots you might have seen in decades.
Looks as if everyone agreed the "touching ball" rule from snooker applies to pool.
Do you see anything about the event that could be improved?Good for the players.
