Did they? Or did they take the paycheck for switching tables? You're so ignorant!!Right. And Shane and Appleton dumped Diamond.

We were just talking at leagues how much harder pool was on bar box’s 30 years a go. Mali felt and the big mud ball cue ball made barbbox pool a very different game lolIf you want to bring that up, then go all the way! In the BRUNSWICK HEYDAY, all events were played on either Stevens 22oz Superweave or Brunsco1 WOVEN WOOLEN CLOTH!!! Players had to have a stroke, NO PITY PAT POOL, LIKE TODAY!!!
What a joke!!!
Oh, please. Diamonds became the standard because they had the wherewithall to host a tournament series that paid out a LOT of money to the top players, and the players were chasing that money. Those players would have played on 30 year old Gandy Big Gs with kindergarten felt and 5 inch pockets, if there was a payday. The pros owe the dead money amateurs at Derby, and Diamond. Sure as hell not the other way around.Without the pros , there wouldn't be Diamond.
Your ADD is getting the best of you .
Who designed the table?Oh, please. As a general rule, the pros don't do nearly enough to promote the game in any effective way. Shane can be forgiven for this, as his speech impediment makes it difficult for him to do clinics and exhibitions, but what is everyone else's excuse? I know of a few pros like Feijen that are putting out quality content on Youtube, but even with Feijen... He knows that he is nearing the end of his career, and needs to find another revenue stream. It's not like he started thay before he had any real choice.
Don't pretend any table manufacturer owes the pros anything. Nobody buys a Diamond because SVB does or does not own one. They buy them because a lot of Diamonds are used in tournaments they like to play, and neither SVB nor any other top pro shelled out the money, or cut business deals with tournament promoters.
I get that you and RKC don't like each other much, but use your common sense man..... Players might buy CUES because a pro uses them and they like the player, but pool tables that cost 7K plus are a whole nuther matter.
your not wrong I bought a diamond Because it’s the best playing 7 foot table money could buy and that’s all I have room for. I couldn’t care less what cue a pro player plays on let alone what table they like lolOh, please. They do, on the kiddie tables, for the non-players! Where's all the complaints from the Pros playing in the US Open 9Ball event?? Shouldn't they be complaining like you guys do?
Name ONE Pro that quit because of having to play on Diamond tables? Name ONE pool room that went broke with Diamond tables because the customers refused to play on them!!!The whole "Where are all the complaints about the Diamonds at the US open" or any pro event in the last few years is pointless. Pros have proven they will play on ANYTHING for money. Don't believe me? I got 3 letters for ya IPT. Enough said. So where are all the complainers? Gone. Those that didn't want to deal with the bs shelves, bouncy rails, cyclops balls, etc quit years ago.
But those of us that don't depend on the game to eat can afford to be picky about conditions.
Did you miss the first part where I said "Pros have proven they will play on ANYTHING for money."? The top level pros will play on anything. I seem to recall Earl isn't a fan of how they play even though he continues to play. Diamonds come around before social media was popular so finding quotes of retired pros saying they quit over xyz isn't very likely. Can't say I ran in those circles either as I learned early on that unless one is in the top 10 or so in earnings pool doesn't pay very well.Name ONE Pro that quit because of having to play on Diamond tables? I remember when there was no such thing as cell phones too, but time changes everything, like it or not!Did you miss the first part where I said "Pros have proven they will play on ANYTHING for money."? As for pool rooms of course they don't go broke over table choices as they make the majority of their money from people that don't take the game seriously. It doesn't matter if they buy diamonds, valleys, or whatever pos they can find. Heck how many actual real pool rooms do you even know of nowadays? By real pool room I mean no bar, darts, keno machines, or other bs. Sadly the last one in my area closed years ago. The majority of "pool rooms" nowadays are just bars with pool tables. The alcohol pays the rent not pool.

Sigel was done playing by the late 80'sDoesn't mean we have to like it. Pool is a game. One can quit playing altogether and life will go on. Personally I don't play on diamond bar boxes anymore period. They rattle too many balls. I'd rather not play at all than play on tables that don't play right.
Btw found Mike Sigel saying diamonds are what caused him to retire. Knew I remembered him saying it just wasn't sure of what match. He says it around 1:09:15
You said name 1 pro. I did and not only a pro but one that nobody can deny was a top level pro in his day. So I'm done.Sigel was done playing by the late 80'sDiamond didn't even get started until 1988, and Brunswick was the tournament tables back then, so his claim means nothing, he was use to playing on GC's with 5" pockets his whole career!!!!
He’s going to group archer and sigel together. “What have they won lately”?You said name 1 pro. I did and not only a pro but one that nobody can deny was a top level pro in his day. So I'm done.
His career was OVER before Diamond was in business, are you dense????You said name 1 pro. I did and not only a pro but one that nobody can deny was a top level pro in his day. So I'm done.
Archer isn't 70 years old is he???He’s going to group archer and sigel together. “What have they won lately”?
You guys are sure desperate to win people over, but you're only proving yourselves to be the fools you are!!!He’s going to group archer and sigel together. “What have they won lately”?
