Practice practice practice

Well I'll be darned Right found the Max to the King 15 ball.
3 rails
5 king hole
3 kiss
1 white over the pad(just barely. 😉
For 12 winner. Oh man and I am just hitting the bottom of my only beer.
Almost forgot the Trophy.

Monday 10.23.23: Mama told me " there would be days like this."
Right surged to a 24 -0 lead. 🤷‍♂️ Lefty finally showed up. 30-7 is, uh closer. Right?
The balance.

Going 2 rails to the orange stripe 13 is proving to be fun and interesting. Target shooting is fun for me. And therapeutic. As long as I follow the protocol and program it's useful.

4 to the back door. 15 ball on the king pad. End side end end. Sneaking in the back door might take a while, as station 2 was closed with a 10. Right is feeling strong this morning. This should test him. 🤷‍♂️

Playtime tropy: A security concern aborted the morning fitness. So upon resumption, Lefty hit a Maximum going 2 rails to the 8 ball.View attachment 724363
The record gets an asterisk, as i/we had agreed to full form. (Chin on the cue). Now to find a 3 or more rails to the 15 King ball. The Maximum to the 8 ball was 11.
2 rails
3 for kiss
6 for both in holes.
So only way to close station 3 is 12 or more. Hmmmmmm??????
3 rail kick the 15 in the side and scratch in the bottom right pocket off it

10.27.23: Cold morning is felt first in the fingers. Well the fingerless compression gloves contribute to my standing at the heaters first use of the season. The Balance Trick. Good therapy.

Finding my balance while balancing the cue is ATrick. Just being a tricky guy doesn't make me a Cheat.
The first station is about the Foundation.
Tri Pod is the answer or Whole E Trinity.
OK, Right is here and takes a 19-0 lead in closing station 1 with a 6. No problem hitting Plumb Dead Center. Just took a while to get the speed.
So now that the 8 has a mate. 2 rails to the 9 is in the Big Eye phase. Big Imagine time. Take as much as you need?

2 to the 9, this is mine. "Choice, my choice," mumbles Rainman.

Almost forgot.....luck. Is available in 2 flavors. So uh why do whinners open their mouths when the taste is the bad one. Uh Shit! The knowledge and practice combine to make the shit portions as small as possible. The more I practice the luckiest I get.shrug

The 2 railer to the 9 ball gives me the chance to play with the rotation of the cue ball. Notice the skid of the ball from the rail. Or lack thereof. Natural running english is the most consistent. It doesn't hurt to play with it. Changing the variables that are within my control. Speed Spin and Angles. Fun and educational. 🤷‍♂️

Oh wow! The Right just got Lucky and laid The Maximum on the 9 ball.
2 rails
9 for both in holes and kissing.
Hope I can remember how I did it. 🤷‍♂️
Now for 3 or more to the striped 14 on the King pad.

Lefty chose the shot. It was a fun lesson in angles speed and spin. Fun experiment with back it up applied to the ball. The Natural roller proved to be the winner though.
Edit: Well top running is a whole lot different from bottom running spin.

Its fun to shoot the same shot.

When I train for the Mosconi I set up multiple shots on the table each with a cue ball ready for stroking.

I like to focus on footwork patterns and different hand positions.

In the past I would rush through my runout. Now I practice with the intention of slowing down between shots. Since everything is in position I can focus on transition between bridging positions. Learning the ways wear and tear impacts bridging has made me more mindful of specific patterns that can be useful in competition.

That's interesting. Have you tried the Kicks Like A Mule Challenge?

When I spent time in Carom Cafe I think Sang Lee's son saw me shooting set shots like you are and described it as system shooting.

It was the first time I heard system shooting, I subbed to the yt video. Yes I have spent time practicing kicks, I practice them differently.

I like starting with the example shots and then slowly shifting between diamonds. Just a solid translation nothing fancy.

But I would set up shots on each quadrant of the table so I can plan out moving between shots.

I developed bad habits from practicing the same shot, like grabbing the ball before it falls.

So.....that's a no?

Alligator mouth and Canary ass, is an expression I recall. "Don't let your Alligator mouth get your Canary ass in trouble!" Words of wisdom that I can't recall who to credit. 🤷‍♂️
Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew with this morning challenge. Long range at station 1 is quite a challenge. Well for me, that is. 😉 The good part is that as administrator of my fitness program, I can always abort the challenge if adequate time has been served. Or the goal could be made closer/easier. 🤷‍♂️
Station 1 going one rail to the red stripe 11.

Lefty serving 4-6.

Right prevailing closed station 1 with a 3. Well the closing requirement was lowered due to time served. Wink. 2 rails to the dirt color 6 ball is next. Lefty serving 5-12.

The balancing of the cue took a while. Just proofs the concept that the more challenging the more reward. 🤷‍♂️

It might be late but Right closes the match with an 8. The Trophy is 3 rails starting on the cue line.
3 rails
5 for 14 in the King hole. Not Corn hole. 😉
