It appeared Skyler's ball made the turn abruptly between 2.5 and 2.75 diamonds coming back. Could be seeing things. They should have the ball tested JFTR.
Or, maybe a table mechanic adjusted the table after day 2 to try and get rid of the roll toward the middle.I agree. That looked to be just a little left of Sky’s lag roll (as viewed from the foot of the table), which would indicate some kind of ridge on that side of the table, between the path of those two balls. Perhaps a cracked/defective slate? Something under the cloth? Thicker section of cloth? Weird.
Exact same roll that Sky got. That wouldn’t happen with a lopsided lag ball.I'm not sure if it was mentioned but on day 2 - Gorst vs Filler - the ball rolled off on Fedor's lag and almost scratched as well.

looked like the table rolled off- quite strange. Has it been rolling off in the matches? I've been too busy to watch any of it
Also, it isn't Wolford or Styer that are the problem. Its the top 3! We aren't losing because of 4 and 5.Fair points. I have to agree.
That last frame was great. Ronnie put on a show..Just saw that the finals of last week's UK Championship between Ronnie and Ding is available for replay on DAZN.
In case anyone wants to put their subscription to good usIe.
The only reason Fedor went to the US of A is the wide range of opportunities offered to a pool player. Funny enough, given low return of high-ranked professional playes under these conditions, America has been the place to play competitive pool, with many events and some action. Ireland? Any player of top100 FargoRate would starve there to death. Same could be said about the UK. 3-4 decent players who'd never gamble with GorstI think this is a good reminder that Fedor coming to stay in America (whatever it took to the shenanigans that is legal fees covered), is exactly the dude that already has the American values and mindset. I’m not saying it is better or worse but that he could have stayed in England or Ireland as a refuge but instead took up America.

A single alternative to playing in the States is the Philippines. There anyone could find at least a dozen of opponents who could match up even. In this case it comes down to the comfort of life and other things that go along. One of aspects which comes very handy for a sportsman travelling a lot, is that with an American passport one rarely needs to apply for visas, so it makes life easier.
Pretty sure SVB's first lag on day one rolled off pretty good, too.Maybe not. There is a video of Hohmann scratching on the lag with even worse rolloff. In that case it was the cue ball. The balls for the lag are a special red/blue commemorative design. I didn't see any rolloff on the second lag.
They are fantastic players and it’s too bad they can’t just left their play speak for itself, but I find it hard to take Shaw or Filler, the way they act. The other 3 Euro players actually act like they’ve been there before, with class. I can’t see any of the US players acting the way those two do, even if we were winning.I love that Shaw and Filler are playing to the crowd - great to see Shaw having the crowd be loud during his shooting, the way it should be
I don’t think this is the way to go. Shane doesn’t beat any of the Europeans 9 times out of 10 under normal situations Svb or Fedor are even money or more against any of their team. Got to be one of them. I say SVB, pressure is off as USA are expected to lose now, so they go and play their own games nowHaven't seen lineups for today yet. With the current scoreline, USA's chance of actually winning the cup is probably around 1% imo. Everyone else on team USA has got plenty of action at this point. Some have played decent in spots, but sub par overall. Wolford hasn't played much and has dogged a couple, but also came with with some clutch shots. He's the rookie and it's understandable why he's been hidden a little. Day 2 Jeremy came out all in on Fedor and it didn't work. Day 3 Jeremy came out all in on Sky and it didn't work. Shane has looked somewhat disinterested after the initial team match and team USA has been in this spot many times before and typically hasn't come out inspiring the team when way behind. So I don't think that's the play.
So throw Wolford out there first match. You throw Wolford out and he loses, ok, based on what we've seen so far, odds were Europe was getting to the hill anyways. What if Wolford wins and plays well? Could it inspire the team? It's kind of a hail mary, but I'm sure he's hungry, not disinterested, and he was picked for a reason. Let's show a little confidence in him. What we know for sure is, if Europe gets to the hill anytime in the next 5 matches, it's over for sure. Throw the rookie out there and live a little. For USA to win, he'll be needed at some point anyways and doesn't need any more added pressure with Europe on the hill by the time he's thrown out there. As a spectator rooting for USA, I would like to see him play a singles match as well. What if he continues to get better in general and could be a staple for the cup in the future? Now is the time to see what you've got in the kid and you just never know, maybe he plays well.
Let's go USA! I know it's pretty much over, but not official until it's official.
Lastly, team Europe being ridiculous and celebrating when they do doesn't bother me in the least. If they weren't, this cup would be even less exciting. I personally like it when both fans and the players get excited and rile each other up. Also, there will hopefully come a day again when USA can celebrate a little more too. During interviews with team Europe members after matches, they've all been very respectful even when they could have said USA is dogging it, etc., etc. When the microphone is in their face, they are more than respectful imo. Just my two cents.
