[WPA / Joy Billiards] Heyball World Investment

There's a lot of evidence supporting that, isn't there?

Welcome the the .com revolution.

This is all happening for the first time, its really exciting meeting people here.

Who said they did really good in school and was ready for the real world?

They told me to tell you, you needed help and you don't know how to ask for it.

Get ready to be abducted by aliens.

O
I personally feel those Chinese 8-ball tables are an absolute abomination. If someone wants to play pocket billiards on a table with snooker-shaped pockets pockets, just play snooker. Leave the pockets of a pool table alone, such that it's still possible to fire in an OB down the rail.

The IPT had it somewhat correct by incorporating the slow cloth, because we all know 8-ball with fast cloth and 4.5" pockets is just too easy for the pros. But I've been advocating this idea for a decade, but if we want to make 8-ball for the pros more interesting, instead of mucking with the table (3.5" pockets, or snooker shaped pockets, or slow nap cloth), simply increase the number of objects above 15 (to 21, for example). Adding a few more balls is a whole lot easier than modifying (or in heyball's case completely redesigning) existing pool tables.
Or play 1-15 Eight Ball.

A Lunar festival is when you make the nine ball using the 2,3, 6 or 8.

For the disciplined Heyball players the 4 - 9 combo is considered a Death Out.

A dragon breath, is when a player is hooked on a safe and needs three rails to kick.

Dragon fear is hooked and you need one rail to break out of jail but the cut is not clearly obvious.

Choking on the nineball is called a Confucious Pause. If the Chinese player is too aggressive they have demon eye on the nine.

All game balls should be shot with a pause for Confucious.

I meant in Chinese 8 ball the coaching phrases should be about taming your dragon or inner demons.

Lazy Pool student that doesn't practice = American
Gifted pool student that doesn't practice = Gambler
Gifted pool student that works well in teams = Invite to tournament

Pool student that does math analysis and talks about it in public = Send them to engineering school

Female players will be the most rounded in Heyball, it just happens by design.

How are your pyramid efforts going?

All talk again? Whodarhunk it?

Do you want to meet in one of the Flushing pool halls to meet some support people.

I hope you like eating Asian food. Some white people get bad skin reactions due to the MSG, it causes acne for a lot of girls.

Heyball Plans

Flushing can benefit from a commercially developed walkway from Downtown flushing direct to Flushing Meadows.

Roosevelt Avenue has been the main walkway to get over the water however its not a pleasant or attractive walk.

Heyball could be hosted in the new Tangram Mall, there is plenty of space for people to stay indoors and entertained just like China.

The Airport is a short ride from Flushing.

When the Citifield or the US Open host events, downtown flushing loses out on that action because the parking lot and trains

This means Chinatown loses money when people are not forced to walk through the area. MSG businesses always make money during sports events. However Citi field and the US Open do not endorse the Flushing BID during their events.

Telling people to take the train means they will avoid the local eateries and leave their trash on the subway. And then they will all be drunk and leave the trains in disarray and need of a deep deep cleaning.

Hahahaha
Aside from your mom, who in the f*** do you think wants to meet up with you!?!??!

There is a reason you are grown and at home alone: you.

I love walking on that path at night.

No chance for a police patrol, no chance for street lights, no chance for random people to help in the event of a crime. Its also perfect for dropping and picking up items.

It clearly was designed to intimidate people. However that is not the impact it has on the area.

Its a waterfront walkway with a skyline of a train bridge, there are many ways to make it look nice. Commission a joint art and engineering project for the Asian community to build. As well as a regular government center to receive human complaints, Flushing residents have to complain to people that know how to listen. Check in with Flushing QPL if you want a quick assessment of the area.

For people taking the train and wanting groceries and avoiding the train fee or dealing with train people, that walkway is the lifeline.

My middle school classmate. His mom worked at Creedmoor.

Do you need investors or community support? I know engineers and artists too.

He was in the class where I used the telephones and dial up modems offensively.

Hei 黑 'hey' - means black. It's not racist to refer to it as 'heyball' combining it's place of origin with a more commonly/universal language as a play on words, and I'd say, living here, eight is not a commonly mispronounced word...
It's more an attempt to appeal to outside audience who would treat it with even more distain if they called it 黑球 hei qiu 'hey cho' ('muricans aren't the best at attempting to pronounce anything correctly, not even English :ROFLMAO:)
If anything, giving it the name they would probably prefer to call it, would see even less people willing to play it. As sadly, that is the kind of world we live in...

I like playing Chinese-8, but can't help but see it as WPA ditching out and accepting they have lost American table based games, and looking to pursue the money by creating something/seeking alliance with something that can over shadow MR... that's a lot of F money... and a game that appeals to all walks of cue sports life (multiple backgrounds)

I am noticing a few of the strongholds for American tables in Shanghai are making more investment into Chinese tables... seems counter-productive in my opinion, as they should just solidify themselves as the mainstays for American tables... There's Chinese 8-tables in every hall already and people come to these places already solely because they are interested in American tables...

Do regular smucks like us typically play 9 ball, snooker, or heyball when they play socially in China?

I like watching all types of billiards and heyball is the hardest of all for me to watch. I haven’t traveled through mainland Chi

It is an interesting product to me, from the perspective it takes a highly skilled cueist to play the game at even a moderately proficient level.

This decreases the 'pool' of potential hi-level competitors.

The Chinese athletes commonly describe their arenas as houses and they compete as families, just like in Martial Art movies.

How and who gets the beatings will be decided in Heyball rooms around the world. US sports are lacking in team cohesion.

They can't even decide if boys should be on girls teams. If the girls need a ringer, put the boy on the team.

Men have been doing it for years. Learn to cheat properly.

Yawntastic.

More vaguely related concepts that are full of holes and illogical.

@Flakeandrun can probably answer better. I really only saw 8-ball/heyball There are a few guys on my work group that I would play 9-ball with, but that was the only rotation games I’d seen.

I did once see three guys play something that looked like cut throat for 100RMB ($13-ish) per ball on a Chinese table. These guys were absolutely tanked though, and it took them well over an hour to get through the rack.
