Rhino CF shafts....159bux, free ship

According to USPS guy, the mistake occured when they sent the tip and shaft in seperate boxes but only got one tracking #. Once the tip was delivered, the cue had no destination, so it sits somewhere. That's what I was told.
Imo, that's on rhino.
When my company makes an error, we try to fix it and will eat costs involved w same.
Wasn't asking for the world, just something.
Perhaps in today's world, that was too much.
Again, order the shaft at the discount and return it if you're not satisfied. It seems like an easy solution to me.

Am I missing something? Buy the break shaft at the sale price and if you don't like it, return it.

I don't understand why they would give you special accommodations because shipping (around the Holidays) was an issue.
I'm a one shaft at a time guy myself. Lol.😉

Coz of the expectation gleaned from this thread!

I often think is isn't a completely great thing to read, "...went beyond my expectations and___".

It sets an unreasonable standard, yuhknow?

Could be on the shipper too. Its not like UPS/USPS don't have a LONNGGGGGGGGG history of doggin it. I've got noting but good to say about this outfit's product and service. They were beyond slammed. Sold over 3,500 shafts in five days in the initial sale. Probably sold close to same in the X-mas sale too. CS is light yrs. better than most custom cue makers.

And for under $200 you can have a choice of taper:
Take it or leave it!

Pretty simple job if you have cuemaker/repairman nearby.
Anyone have any cuemaker recommendations in the DFW area that could cut the 5/16-14 pilot off of one of these? I used to have Steve Klein do this kind of thing for me be he's retired now.

The customer service gal was an angel. Celine was her name. After reading all the comments about how well the shafts performed, must admit I got a tad envious of those who already had theirs.
I'm not a big online shopper. Seem to always run into some type of problem, so I let the girls handle it. Last thing I want to do is deal w return labels and waste time packing crap back up and trying to find some box that most likely already hit the shredder.
Call me crazy, but I like to examine a purchase before making a determination as to whether I wish to buy another.
I can probly get meds for that!! 😂

This is the 21st Century. Embrace it.

I normally do not write an evaluation on pool products. But, here are my thoughts after trying out the Rhino 12.2 CF shaft.

Ordered on 12/19, received on 12/23. Excellent customer service and fast shipment. (Bought as backup to 12.5 Cynergy) $169.50 to my door.

Finally got to hit some balls with it today. I was very surprised at feel and control in contact. Shoots as straight as Cuetec in my opinion

and feedback when shooting was great. I would recommend it.

Got my shaft this afternoon, 5/16x14 12.5, and am really impressed. Ordered with the med tip, not sure what tip is actually on it. Joint was .008 larger diameter than my Schons and will put it in my lathe and bring it down to match, but honestly could live with it. Nice weight to it and great feel and sound on the hit. No ping or anything like that, almost just like my Jacoby Ultra wood shaft other than the tip on the Jacoby, Ultra skin black, has become hard. No felt vibration when hitting off center either. Not really sure about deflection but I had no noticeable adjustment from the Jacoby Ultra.
I probably am going to order another in 3/8x10 for my McDermotts and my DZ.
This seems to be the deal of the year right now, and don't see how you could go wrong buying one of these, even if it's just for a spare shaft. Didn't see the extra tip, I'll check the packaging.
Tip was in the pkg after looking.

Rhino break shaft I ordered just arrived. 3/8 10. Just broke 10 racks or so and my first impressions are good. I've no carbon fiber experience before this one at all, but it feels great, came clean (with no black dust others have reported). To my eye as of right now, I shall concur this this is a helluva deal compared to other price points out there. Will report back after I've played with it for a while. I just left my job of the last three years for the last time an hour and a half ago, so I'm gonna go grab some pizza and maybe a 🍺...then more pool dammit

Update on my end: I played a bunch of racks with the shaft. I do now believe the deflection is higher than a Revo. It's close, but higher. A lifelong Predator player may not want the change. I did not do specific deflection tests, just going by the shots I made vs the shots I missed. I may do some specific tests to find the pivot point of this and my 314's and Revo's later. For me personally, I'll probably keep buying Predator. YMMV.
