I just measured mine. 29 11/16" from the joint face to the end of the ferrule, not counting the tip. Counting the very tip of the tip, it is 30" exactly. Most USA based brands go to the end of the ferrule for length.

The only negative thing I have to say about the shaft quality is the joint area. It has a bulge, which USA cues do not. Right at the thin joint collar it is one diameter. Then the CF is a hair bigger, and without a taper. Then the taper starts. This all makes it look a bit off when screwed to a butt. USA based cues are tapered right up to the face of the joint, so they match up well aesthetically to the butt. I'll take a few picture and measurements another time quantifying this.

mine looks fine. no clue what you're referring to. it doesn't match exactly at the joint face but i don't see the taper you're talking about. not all cf shafts fit perfect unless its a cue/shaft combo by same company. nothing to consider if buying one.
Either your shaft is better than mine, or my eyesight is better than yours.
Ordered mine Dec 6th. 5/16 - 14, 30" - and it hasn't come yet!! It's the 25th, Christmas day and tracking says delayed delivery. The darn thing got lost somewhere. Rhino says they'll replace the shaft and send a return label in the off chance the original comes. Only problem is, they're out of stock on 30"s and it has to come from Vietnam, another 2 week wait. Asked about break shafts, as I was gonna get one b4 sale expired if the first shaft hit as well as you guys are saying.
Customer service told me to hurry and order one b4 the 31st, when sale ends.
My replacement shaft won't arrive until Jan 7-10th, If I'm lucky. I couldn't believe this lady wanted me to buy a break shaft when I haven't seen the first shaft I've paid for!!
No mention of coupon for my wait or aggravation, extending sale deadline for me, or express shipping the new one from Vietnam, etc... Don't know what I was expecting, but something, and not this!! Keep y'all posted on what happens.
Sure would like to hit w one of these. Compare to the other 3 I have. Got this one for my Joss. Wanted to see how carbon would play on that butt. Sure hope it fits!! IF I EVER GET IT!!!

The crystal tip comes seperate from the shaft. I got the tip. Just no shaft. Ppwork calls it a free gift. Medium tip is spose to be on the shaft, according to CS.

I have a few J Flowers cues and am curious to see how this rhino stacks up against them. From the other comments, I'm pumped up bcuz these sound like much better playing cf than flowers. Look forward to finding out.

I ordered the nebula cue 12.4 on the 18th. UPS created a label this morning but still no delivery date. I've owned revo 12.4 and 12.9. Anxious to see how it stacks up. Some say better, same, or slightly less. Whole cue for $254. Steal. I didn't want to mix and match butts and shafts again. Same here...ordered a full pool cue- $255, with a carbon shaft?!- and unlike the carom shaft, it isnt on my doorstep in 4 days.
And I hope that grip isn't horrible!
Grip....we know it will be different. It's not no wrap or Irish linen. But looking at it I think you can have a really loose grip and it's not going to slip. Once I'm down on the ball I don't notice how the material feels much.
I can't make a ball with linen and have been using rubber grip for billiards.
I'll put the sleeve over it if necessary.

I don't understand why they would give you special accommodations because shipping (around the Holidays) was an issue.
According to USPS guy, the mistake occured when they sent the tip and shaft in seperate boxes but only got one tracking #. Once the tip was delivered, the cue had no destination, so it sits somewhere. That's what I was told.
Imo, that's on rhino.
When my company makes an error, we try to fix it and will eat costs involved w same.
Wasn't asking for the world, just something.
Perhaps in today's world, that was too much.
