Rhino CF shafts....159bux, free ship

So, has anyone tried the komet break tip yet?
I got the Komet break cue, out of the box, it weighed in at 20.5 ounces. Definitely feels more rear weighted than the BK rush. Felt good and shaft is smooth, and I think it moves the balls well, but after approximately 25 breaks the tip popped off. It looks like they really skimped on the glue for the tip. Mine came from overseas, so maybe the weather could have had something to do with it? Having a Tiger break tip put on next week.

Update...switched out the tip the rhino break shaft came with and had a zento tip that I've had since forever put on. Pretty killer combo. No substitute for technique, granted, but this thing now hits a ton or whatever you guys say. I kinda feel like SVB sometimes now, crushing the break and popping the rock straight up off the slate. Kinda fun really.

which of the shafts is radial? i see all connections but that one?
and thats the one i need next

So....due to unexpected administrative windfall, I got 2 carom shafts and a carbon pool cue for about $400. All radial/ interchangeable.

Replaced the tips and I am feeling even better about my purchase.

I’ve been a medium tip guy for years but these shafts seem to play better with soft tips.

I did 1 hard,/ 1 med on the carom shafts and a med on the pool one.

I liked the hard for the carom and haven't spent much time with the pool one.

FWIW I wasn't happy at all with the stock Rhino break tip. It played/broke way too soft and was actually pretty usable as a playing shaft. I switched it out for a Samsara break tip and it's like night and day difference. Much more 'pop' on the break with the Samsara tip. The break shaft does feel like it has a long taper but I also recall it's a 30 inch so that took some adjustment to get used to over the standard 29 inch. A little disappointed I had to put more $ into it but it's pretty darn close (maybe 8-8.5 out of 10) to feeling like a BK Rush for a fraction of the price. This is on an older Uniloc BK2 butt.

I'm digging the one I put g2 hard on.

Not liking the taom med as much but haven't spent a whole lot of time with it either.

I'm playing 3c billiards with those two.

Put another taom med on the pool shaft and that is fine but I could have gone hard, baby.

I pulled the trigger on one tonight. Radial pin at 12.9mm, current cue is ebony so should match well. Count me as another willing to try a product at one third of what the market leaders are charging.
I think the timing and pricing are right for a readjustment of the market and it's Price$$$$$$ IZ.
If someone knows how to make it work on both ends and can Shave/save us 100% + on the dollar, I'd much rather all day long have three shafts for $600 than 1.
