Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

And he just exhibited that again, winning the 9-Ball event at the Scotty Townsend Memorial, finishing his second-set win over Chohan at about 1 minute before 4 am local time.

[But I don't think he was the only cause of the late hour.]

Edit: I just looked back at this, about 9 hours after posting it. The time on the post (4:53 AM where I am) is probably about 8 or 9 minutes before I posted it. Strange.
Future youuuuu knewwww

Shane gave him I think it was the 7, or maybe even the 7-out, in 10 ball about 10 years ago at the DCC. I saw it with my own eyes. Shane won 2 or 3 sets. The sets were something like race to 17 or 21 for maybe 5-10k each. That "should" also mean they probably played a few times before at a smaller handicap.

Those 3 Europeans I highly doubt it. I think Hennessy has been laying low for years. His name just started popping back up. Those 3 guys came on the scene when Henn wasn't that active, IMO.
Shane gave/ gives him 9 and last 2 playing 10 ball. Shane has won most of the time. Noone is giving Henny 7,8,9. John is a very misunderstood person, but he has the nuts to bet his own money unlike alot of the others

Local room owner is one of Henney's backers.
Pretty sure he was in with the last match against Patsura.
I'm sure he has his own $ too though.

(y)...more than just a room owner...used to make/sell Southeast cues, room owner, diamond table distributor, and will always take the time to share some great pool stories

He still makes cues AFAIK. I watched a guy order one from him maybe 8-9 months ago. He also plays over 600 speed at about 82 yrs old as well, on top of everything he does. Makes me tired just looking at him.

at that level, how much do ball spots really help? What I mean is- wouldn't Henny usually get out anyway? Aren't games on the wire a more useful spot?

Henny still plays strong but there's a lot of miles on his tires. Don't think he beats any young hotshots without a spot.

He has been playing a ton of people, and regardless of how annoying and crappy his antics are, is he in the top 10 US gamblers who will play bar box and big table?
The man can flat out play and thrives under pressure. Like most guys with heart like that, he has trouble getting action.
