This is coming up this weekend, Bergman and Matlock and Styer on the Barbox:

There's a bunch of "reels" on Facebook from the company about the rules. Some of them are really bizarre. If anyone is planning on playing, you better get prepared. They also have some rules videos on YouTube.

On a slightly related note, I recent saw a video of Corey Deuel playing Russian Pyramid. According to the guy doing the commentary, his opponent called at least three fouls that weren't fouls. In his defense, the opponent might have been confused about which set of rules was being used as there are several.

The Ultimate Pool website seems to indicate that it is a 3-day event open to 128 players. Has that now shrunk to a 1-day event for 16 players? Or does post #1 just show some of the first-day matches?

The flyer in that photo is of their 16 player invitational 1 pocket tournament prior to the 8 ball open.

good luck to them. i usually never watch barbox pool but i enjoyed some of the matches i saw in the lousiana shootout. the shot clock makes it entertaining.

This should make for more entertainment too. The TV table. Mods please merge to “the pockets are too damn tight” thread smh

This site is showing David Matlock vs Ryan Robinson instead of vs Shane McMinn. Ryan is a pretty snappy player from Arkansas, ought to be a fun match to watch.

I signed up to play in the open. The rule set is some weird divergence with English blackball. I don’t expect anyone will know the rules (myself included).

looks like 4.3" or thereabouts. is that really tougher than diamond? dont diamonds have deeper shelves
Ya tight jaws there but shouldn’t be a big deal with shallow valley shelves. Wonder if they did anything to the side pockets because sides already play tighter on a valley than their corners do.

The official tournament site seems to be very well done for matches and such. Much better than the Matchroom sites.
