I am guessing the inlays have nothing to do with how great that cue hits. Like you I have owned and played with pretty much all the great cue makers cues (Searing, Showman, Tad, Gina, Tascarella, Southwest (both generations), Sugartree, EDC, Mobley, Cognoscenti, Omega, Kersenbrock, Joss West, Astle, Cohen, Gilbert, Vigus, Tucker, Carmeli....and several others that I am probably forgetting) and I have had merry widows that played great and extremely fancy cues that played great and a few that didn't feel that great.
