Companies That Make Phenolic Resin Balls

Are there any companies besides Saluc, Cyclop, Dynasphere and Cosmos that make or made balls from phenolic resin or a similarly good material?

I’ve seen some conflicting claims about Vigma.

I think Vigma makes balls from polycarbonate.

In looking around for pool balls, I ran across this. I think it's a good idea to buy from known sources...

I have a 9 ball set with no numbers. I can't remember the name but I really like them. They're supposed to be the best balls ever made. I think they are out of Germany. There's a guy that sells them on here. Drawing a blank.

Raschig is the company. It has been a long time since the company made them. I think they did it for about 10 years. The made carom balls as well.

Is Raschig a brand, produced OEM like Brunswick Centennials by Saluc, or did they have their own manufacturing facility?

Here is a thread from a while ago about Raschigs. Pool balls introduced into the US about 1988...

A brief search turns up Raschig as a current manufacturer of industrial plastic items and in particular packing for distillation columns. According to an internet source, we have:

Doctor Max Koebner worked for RASCHIG GmbH in Germany, when around 1937, to escape from the persecution of the Jewish, he decided to emigrate to England where he produced the 'Vitalite' ball (**).
Vitalite is a fairly well-known older ball brand. The same source shows this image, which looks to be from about 1950.

That is roughly the same logo that appears in the 1989 Dufferin/Raschig ad in Billiards Digest mentioned in the link above.

From another site (about Aramith):

Commercialization of the first balls started in the sixties at a time when competition against three already well-established manufacturers was difficult. Through the continuous fine-tuning of quality and the increase of production levels, Saluc succeeded to take a major competitive lead. After Hyatt Ball, Raschig and Composition Billiard Balls all stuck with old technology finally ended their billiard ball production, Saluc became the only company worldwide producing phenolic resin billiard balls, exporting over 99% of its production to more than 100 countries.

EPCO makes billiard balls, and their factory is right down the road from me. I never used them and I can't comment on their quality. They use thermoset which is ideal over thermoplastic due to temperature resistance.
