if a cue plays well and you dont use it because its ugly, that is the truest sign you are not a good player. simple as that.

its like wearing a pair of shoes that dont fit well because the ones that do are ugly.

You ever buy a cue you found horrid looking but played so well, you said fuggit?

Here's one I had ..met the ugly requirement but played horribly.

And some of you will recall my consistent and deep disdain for turquoise in cues. Same for floating points...played an hour with this one and had to have it. Mine now.

Had a friend go in a billiard supply house to buy a cue. Says he hit at least 30 cues and a off pink McD played better then all of them. He bought it and played with it for years then a beauty of a JW caught his eye and he gave the ugly pink cue away. 40 years,and many cues, later and he is still looking for a cue that plays like the pepto bismal cue .
