My Fargorate progression

I think she's over 600. She's been on the upswing the past 6 months. She was a 575 6 months ago, now a 591. I'd back her against all the local 595's I know. Edit, she's got 1500 games in the system, but took a jump the past year, IMO.
Would be interested to see why she jumped 15 points with that many games in the system. Perhaps most of thise games are recent?

She was brave enough to play a recorded match , would she share her fr progression?

She’s not on AZB but is on FB. She’s well known regionally, but not nationally. She won the amateur Hopkins women’s event in 2024 and plays in tons of tournaments, both women’s and open.

She jumped the 15 as she won and placed high several strong Women’s regional events the past few months.

Rachel has a great game and a very focused demeanor at the table.
Played her a few times myself.

Probably best to smile and be quiet, but...

If they cheat in that little room tournament, it means they lose on purpose. That puts free money into the pot for those that don't cheat. If he were running 600-and-under also, it would be different.
First, I believe that Fargo system is the best. But…

If the room has a double jeopardy league, I can almost guarantee they cheat.

A brief search indicates that "double jeopardy" is an APA format. I think no APA league does FargoRate.

Actually, I meant that the Fargo handicap is being circumvented in the USAPL leagues via the double jeopardy leagues. (8 ball and 10 ball).

Sorry that I didn’t communicate that properly the first time.

Can you elaborate on what the issue is?

I'm ready for the 578 tournament. I'm flying to Vegas tomorrow.

Here is a spreadsheet I made when it was announced in August, and updated again this week. I was a 572 then, and am exactly a 572 now. ha ha.

The spreadsheet is sorted by current fargo. I also have columns for how much the fargo changed, how much the robustness changed.

Players I'd probably bid on for the calcutta are as follows:

This screenshot is sorted by current fargo. William is the highest fargo at 585, both in Aug and today. He also moved up 6 points which is a decent amount. He's the obvious choice in the calcutta, imo. 61 total players.

This list is sorted by fargo difference from Aug to today. I'd bid on the top 3 or 4 players. To move that much, (and I know because I tried to go up during this whole thread!), their prior games must be really old, and/or they are playing WAY better than their rating since August. Farren who moved the most, is also coming from Alaska. IDK if they are considered a "fargo island" or not.

Won first match 9-6. I played really well for me.

I was up 4-0 running out from everywhere about to make it 5-0. playing position from the 8 to the 9. The cb was going near the 10 so I called it in case. Had a brain fart and wasn’t allowed to do that. made the 8 got perfect on the 9 and opponent said I called the 10. So I turned over the inning.

Called shot rules are simply stupid imo in rotation games. This was of course 100% my fault. But I’ll stand by my statement that taking some luck and 2 way shots out of rotation is simply idiotic. Whoever came up with those rules should be fired. Hope it wasn’t you, Bob! Ha ha ha.

Sorry to whoever watched that set! Total dog fight. We both played like crap. I won hill hill. I hope I got it out of my system. Ha ha. I play again tomorrow morning at 9am PST.
