Here’s a cue I’ve owned around 35 years. I got it on a trade way back when I was flipping/buying/selling cues. Long before the term “cue dealer” came into my vocabulary or the internet was invented. When a man built a reputation on the rail at various pool rooms and bought and sold cues based on the merits of his previous trades.

I always liked this cue, so I kept it. I think I have about $15 in it. I never replaced the bumper. I just liked it the way it is. It’s part of my permanent collection. Until a week ago I never took a pic of it. I’m not into pics much.

I hope you appreciate it as much as I do. I love the colors and just the overall look. I’m lucky to have fell into it, and was smart to keep it.

Well, I thought I had that catalog, and I don't. Good chance Jayman does since he's the Adam guru.

Thanks for showing off the cue! 👍

Great to see one from "in the wild" well used and appreciated.

Frankly, I wish I could trade and flip cues. I get too attached. I still regret letting go one of my most prized cues a few years ago.

Eventually I will get there, when my obsessions are satisfied...I hope.

Bad news, you're probably never going to get there.

I'm the same way; I can't tell you how many cues I bought only because they were really good deals. I buy them with the plan to sell, but once I get them home, I decide I love them and can't let them go. I even appreciate cheap, crap cues. I've only sold or traded a handful of cues in 40 years...and I regret letting those go. It's a weird sickness I can't explain.

I understand

Great. No hope for a cure. I am doomed to live with many cool cues.... :)

Some things mean more then any appraised value. I have a cue a friend made for me it will never be sold or traded .

Thanks for sharing. Now I know that my Wier cue is a model L.

I was at a tournament at the Maverick Club in Richmond Kentucky in about 84-85 and Wier was there showing his cue and acting like he had made them but of course he hadn't. I won a raffle and got a cue I think was a model H and a Wier black satin jacket. I sold the cue as it didn't suit me but I still have the jacket as my wife wore it a little (it was too small for me).

I've got a McDermot C3 that I bought in 1980 (1st real cue) which has seen many a game and kind of beat up (still arrow straight) that I use to break with. Never will be sold.
