Impossible shot?

Masse
Trick shot
Billiards shot
Artistic Pool

Why is it so many sound so critical of it or ridicule it?

Whether or not it is legal or useful might be less relevant if one is to appreciate it for what it is.

Shit like this makes room owners CRINGE. Pretty soon some JohnnyJerkoff walks in and wants to do what he saw on his fone.

Best shot of my life was a Masse during a scotch doubles 8 ball tournament. I was playing great that night, and my partner is a lot bet than me. We had several break and runs, derby's and in general kicking butt. At the semi-final table, it was rubber match, I was counting the balls and realized I would be on the 8. Was mentally preparing for a final shot to win. With our last ball on the table my partner makes the shot and leaves the cue ball about a diamond off each rail from the corner pocket, 8 ball is in the opposite corner again about a diamond off each rail. He's apologizing and automatically says "Do you want to talk about it" as we had open coaching (which was also a lot of fun). I had no look at the 8 bunch probably like 5 of the opponents blockers in the way. I masse plenty in practice and league matches, but usually just to get a good hit, actually making a ball is low percentage shot for me but I feel way more comfortable curving than jumping (at the time). I replay "No I got this" and I call the 8 ball in the corner pocket. Aimed, fired, curved that puppy around everything! Looked up from my contact point just in time to see the cue making contact with the 8 and it dropping down the center of the pocket for the match win, and to get to the final table. There where probably 20 guys watching and the room erupted with cheers! It was an out of body experience and a shot I'll never forget!

My best was a masse into the rail to kick an object ball six diamonds down the rail. It went perfectly.
