Can’t get a straight, accurate answer from anyone. What is the story of this cue? Mispelled Mizerak (MiSerak)

First I just wanted it ID’d then the misspelling part. All everyone points out is it’s an Adam’s. Okay great.
Then I’ll get “well it just have been mass produced”. Okay that’s fine too but show me another one. Or find me another discussion anywhere about it. Give me something to go off of, not what might have happened.

IF, it is a one off some how, (or short production run) it’s from at least 30 something years ago and they aren’t popping up all over. Therefore, there must be some value to it collecting wise…. Otherwise we’d see em all over EBay and you wonderfully well versed experts here that have been doing this forever would have plenty to say about it but that’s hasn’t been the case. So yes I’m intrigued. Even if it’s a mass production error at least we can put it to bed….. thoughts ??

Thanks (in advance for anything meaningful anyone can contribute)

Its 'ADAM' not Adams. David Foreman who started the co used his son's name. Nothing super rare here. nice cue but they made quite a few of these. worth 4-500 i'd guess. This might be fake(who the fk would fake one??). Here's the real deal: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/vintage-adam-steve-mizerak-series-cue.91277/ Its possible they changed the signature font during the production run. The sign. on your looks funky to me. Rest of the cue looks legit. Ask Jayman, he knows these cues.

The issuse i see with these Mizerack cues is that they really don't sell for alot of money as is. Most of them are selling for under $100. My best guess on the price of this would be Normal price x 2 for the rarity of misspelling. Probably topping this cue at $200 max

Why do I keep thinking that you feel or hope it is worth a lot of money? What did you pay for it? What do you think it is worth?

These old ADAM's have actually gotten collectible in the last few years. Back in my day you only bought one if you couldn't fade the price for a 'real' cue aka JOSS, Gina, etc. I had a couple Rempe models that played ok but nothing like the Joss i got afterwards. Price is prob. between the two say 300max. You see them listed for stupid money on fleabay but they never go for those prices. OP has a good player but nothing like he hopes.

Unless a good story turns up about the error in the signature, I think most buyers will think the cue is a cheap knock-off like the Praoiar cues, or whatever they're called. ... edit ... here's a pic:

Reminds me of the "Longunes" (it was so small as to be barely legible, but it was definitely misspelled) wristwatch someone tried to sell me a loooooooooong time ago....

Gotta remember the Chinese will knock-off ANYTHING they think they can pawn off to suckers. Not saying this cue is a fake but ebay is full of 'real' ADAM cues that are not.

Not true. This is a rare Adam.

either a knockoff or a mistake. either way you are gambling on limited resale. buy it cheap as a playing cue if your not a good player yet and want something that looks expensive that isnt.

We don't know how many were made. I think this was about 1980 or 1981.

They were the first in the series, were misspelled, and caught after release to market. There are many more out there with the correct spelling.

Adam cue signature is very different from the KaoKao cues, and the correctly spelled Adam is a very different signature from the incorrectly spelled one.

Adam cue correctly spelled:

One thing that I will say - the Six point forearm on your cue (not pictured in the Adam Mizerak cue series catalog ) that forearm looks very very much like the six point forearms Gus SZ. Supplied to Palmer for a 3rd catalog cue in their line. The timeframe is similar in cue releases. Wondering if Gus ever supplied six point forearms to Adam as he did for Palmer at this time.

I agree with your estimate. In really good condition $300. The misspelling gives a small boost in value because it is more rare and the earliest release.

I posted about these cues recently. I bought one from Phinmole.

So here is a final hint. Have you ever heard of Steve Mizerack? Or maybe Steve Miserak? LOL!

The listing was for a "Steve Mizerack cue". The cue has a signature on it "Steve Miserak" Yup, both the listing and the cue signature are misspelled. (I am not picking on the seller, so dude if you read this, please do not take it that way.) I just confirmed with the seller he never noticed the signature on the cue was misspelled.
