He didn’t get out chair much. Svb looked like a gen 400 terminator. Wow.Haven’t been watching the games. Is Morra playing left or right handed?

All he had to do is get rid of the silly extension... he really shoudn't have listen to anything Earl says.Haven’t seen SVB play so good at a major in a long time. He was good at last’s year US Open, but not this good.
FSR just isn’t consistent anymore. Hasn’t faded badly like Albin Ouschan, but I don’t expect him to win a big tourney anymore. Can’t put my finger on why, strangely. There is no particular pattern he shows when losing.
I think Shaw dropped the extension too. Never understood why a player would change to a longer cue after so many years of success with a standard length one.All he had to do is get rid of the silly extension... he really shoudn't have listen to anything Earl says.
Can’t believe Max cued low on the six. Looked like he could just roll up for a straight in 7.
I watched the shot a dozen times. Max got himself into a bad spot first by giving himself a tough angle after pocketing the six to get on the seven. Then I am pretty sure he tried to get slightly above the eight for an easy shot in the left side pocket that would have given natural position for the nine on the bottom long rail.miss of the tournament.. well first overrunning the 8 and then opting for the power shot. why not just take the cut?
Synapses.
I expected a miss when he tried to aim with power into a small side pocket with the 8 ball. I would have chosen a tough cut into the top left corner.I watched the shot a dozen times. Risky position shot, it turned out. He came up short on the position on the eight. Even if he intended to come up shorter on the eight, and overran his position as you think, he still would have had to gone up and down the table. Classic case of getting out of line and falling further out of line.
But he didn’t have any other great options imo. Doesn’t look like he had enough angle for a simpler cut on the eight to get to the nine. The nine was on the rail near middle of the table.
He had to use some kind of power to go up the table and come back down.

Watch out for this junior!!! Kaito Okumura, representing Japan. I watched him play a rack and a half and my eyes put him at about 700 speed already. His stroke is pro speed, imo. Idk how old he is, maybe 15-16 is my guess. I had to go before his next match, otherwise I would have watched his whole match. He’s got to be the favorite in the jr event, imo.
FargoRate has him at 588 with 255 robustness, and living in California. He was either born in the USA or came as a young child, as he has an American accent. He was with his dad.

Both have also been very successful playing with the extension as wellI think Shaw dropped the extension too. Never understood why a player would change to a longer cue after so many years of success with a standard length one.
Many players are using extensions. Shaw seemed to play better when he was using one.All he had to do is get rid of the silly extension... he really shoudn't have listen to anything Earl says.
