Gold Crown 7 Revealed

Looks good. The silhouette that is because I always think they look sleek and it looks like they were able to do a ball return system without the bulky and big return system you see on Diamonds. It still looks like a GC.

Now the pricing is a bit extreme especially since I have a few guys locally that can sell you the USA tables for 2k. The old-old ones with the counters and all.

Looks like they are trying to tap into the professional market and the pool rooms. We saw an immediate explosion of Diamond tables in every pool hall in America. It's a default table. Looks like Brunswick is trying to tap into the market of those that haven't converted to Diamonds.

Is there anything prettier?
Gold Crown I, Restored Antique Pool ...
Every table had ball counters in the room I grew up in - maybe 17 or 18 of them.

And yes, the Anniversary and Centennial look better 😁

I'm most likely repeating this however. I'd trade my Diamond Pro for a Black GC7. What will hold me up is the installers. If in S.Florida where to purchase and have a proper set up? Crosby might be the only person I'd consider but I believe he does not personally get involved anymore. Would like a well known mechanic to handle the installation but usually have to wait longer than I want to.
Will the GC's be available or are they a 2-3-6 month wait? Are there any details or is it best to contact Brunswick?

Several months ago, I heard Oscar's Hard Times in Sacramento may be receiving GC7's this month.
Hurry up and wait! Lol
I'm waiting as fast as I can.

Make it a 3 digit one too. LOL

Me and a few guys I know will play to 150.

They should have done that as a throwback. The counter is like a signature of GC tables. It separates them and others in the past.
Score Counters??? I would rather have some old wooden beads. A little harder to cheat with beads visible.

Yea bro. I basically learned how to play pool on GC. There aren't many places with a room filled with the ball counter GC's. You see this is what my memory of them are.

I am actually surprised that you are so shocked by it.

Didn't everyone play on GC's with ball counters? I mean they were a staple before Diamond.
My local hall has 22 tables. 19 of them have ball counters....and not a 7 footer in sight.

Mark Gregory is based in Atlanta and helped design the table. He may be willing to go and do it.

I came close to ordering one of his Cents. Maybe I will ask him about sales and installation.

I wonder if they will come with the rails pre-assembled with cloth when ordering the 3 piece slate option. Of course the 1 piece slate option will be fully assembled less the legs.

The reason I ask this, is it would leave less for the local hack to screw up.

I’d enjoy having a covered 1 piece delivered. Currently I’m prepared to order sight unseen. Just need the right mechanic.
