When breaking, sometimes you have more success moving the cue ball left or right from your starting position, sometimes even moving it closer or farther from the kitchen line can make a difference too.I don't understand that...

Sorry, I wrote poorly. I dont understand how moving it further or closer would change much. It's not like the ball can loss a lot of energy or occuracy moving it 10cm back. When breaking, sometimes you have more success moving the cue ball left or right from your starting position, sometimes even moving it closer or farther from the kitchen line can make a difference too.
Where are you breaking from?Just got done racking and breaking racks of 9-Ball on my Gold Crown IV. I counted and I broke 44 racks and only had three decent chances to run out. I got out once and hosed up the two others.
This has been going on for years and years and years. I know you posters are sick and tired of hearing it. But I've just about reached my wits end with this GCIV. It has to be a bad breaking table. And even when I did make a ball almost every time I had a real bad spread, literally no chance at all.
I guarantee you that if my renters decide they don't want to renew my upstairs apartment above my garage for storage next year I am going to get a Diamond Professional table. I've just had it with this GCIV. And yes, like I said in the other thread, that means I will have two home tables. Once I convince myself the Diamond Professional is a better playing table I will either just keep both or try and sell the GCIV.
Stay tuned...........

Note that I am a bad player and I don't care much for the break. I like it extra random.
And can we see pictures of the layouts, right?Where are you breaking from?
Where's your aim point.
He doesn't really answer questions that people post to help him get better. My GC is a monster. It breaks netter than any table I ever broke on. It’s definitely the arrow not the archer. Seriously add another row of balls to the bottom of the rack. It will improve the chances of making some. Good luck BAMB… Break A Million Balls. Or let someone else break for you. OR.. try a larger heavier cue ball.
Question is.. can you break and run? Be more concerned with getting out.
I have decided not to respond to the OP anymore because of this. He can ignore this or take it as constructive. I decided not to make sarcastic or biting comments either. The OP doesn’t like them but maybe can’t see a relationship between what he posts and the responses they provoke. I don’t know. Maybe he’s trolling. Maybe serious. I can’t know. But when no response is helpful and maybe is harmful, why bother? Maybe shouldn’t bother reading the posts, but I probably will. I hope DCP figures it out.He doesn't really answer questions that people post to help him get better.
The most asked question which he doesn't answer is, when you throw 4 balls out and take BIH, do you get out, 5 balls, 6 balls? Where are you having problems and start there.

Looks fine to me. Maybe get the cueball up table if you're not making the one in the side. What's wrong with these? But to answer some of the questions:
I usually break off the rail on the right side. The right side facing the rack.
Aim point is the 1B square, trying to squat the CB.
Here's a couple of pics of spreads that are oh so typical:
The spreads look fine. They are both very runable maybe not from where the cue ball is but nothing wrong with the way the balls are spread out.But to answer some of the questions:

Whatever u12armresl said it is complete and total horsesh~t. He's done this many times. One mod referred to him as an a$$hole. Don't let this idiot influence you.
As far as answering questions - I have done that many times. Maybe not in this thread but certainly in other threads.
I've even posted pics of the layouts that I complain about.

You're having problems breaking with a magic rack. That's just from not practicing. But to answer some of the questions:

not sure who dr cue is or what a protege would mean but it looks like you’ve been on azb for over twenty years
if the poster above made you call him an idiot and curse him twice my guess is you spend about one minute a year on this site
I'm no pro so I don't expect a perfect break. If I get a good spread and a ball down, I'm happy. A look at the 1, I'm over the moon. An actual chance to run out...forget about it.Uhhhh, what???
It looks fine to you???
Considering there is no chance to break n' run here I'm not sure how it looks fine. It's this type of spread that seemingly happens almost all the time. Just no chance.
