Even more weird, in rack 3 Kural broke very good. And from there it got as dry as a... well, a desert.
there is a tendency for players to weaken the break in finals, kural is a good example. he should study svb, kaci..

Yeah that doesn't really smell right. Here is another interesting qualifier story.According to Gemini AI, one of qualifiers to win the whole thing in modern pool history is Francisco Sanchez Ruiz with his take on US Open in 2022. Says he made it through some last chance qualifying tournament (frankly I don't recall there is such for US Open, especially under MR, but further search did not bring any results yet).

and the ball set must be looking very weird for her. No Tiffany color at all.Did someone tell her it's 10 ball?![]()
Yes, it was somewhat in vogue about 10-12 years ago and was used a few times in the Super Billiards Expo 10-ball event.Has there ever been a major tournament with that ruleset? I assumed it was a regional NYC thing that Tony Robles evangelized but never took off.
Just a guess, but I'm thinking "YOE-nus." The language is similar to Spanish.
much better commentary, better stream, better camera work, at least two streaming tables (three even sweeter). I'm sure they could do that at no cost at all, it only takes someone to whisper to their (sheiks) ears. Also build bigger stands for Last 4 at least, and let all the Filippino seasonal workers in. Then you get an atmosphere.Nice tournament, but they definitely have to do better on the commentary. Maybe pipe to YouTuber and let them do their own commentary in whatever languages.
Year 2025 is Asian pool dom. Good to have another Filipino name on the champions list.Well played to Jonas Magpantay. I felt he had some tricky racks to navigate in the final and was, generally, up to the challenge.
Sorry for the late reply JAM, I dozed off a bit. We pronounced the same as Jonas brothers, and btw, Jonas is the champion!

He is new for the rest of the world but sure not a stranger to them Pinoys. Beat Raga more than decade ago (see his palmares list)Jonas guy looks like he's practicing in his basement. A new Pinoy has emerged
I think I could try to pull some strings, as I know someone who is there in Qatar. Hopefully it could get better next year.much better commentary, better stream, better camera work, at least two streaming tables (three even sweeter). They even could stream every single table by their technical means, with the way the venue is set up. Just buy a decent camera and a tripod for 8 tables, for starters.
