Start time is listed as Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, 18:30. That's 1:30PM Eastern, 10:30AM Pacific. (Play starts half an hour later?)

Tickets are still available for all days as of this posting, but Friday is very sparse. (see below)

Teams:
Europe:
Joshua Filler 857
Jayson Shaw 834 -- Captain
Moritz Neuhausen 819
David Alcaide 817
Pijus Labutis 812

USA:
Shane VanBoening 847
Fedor Gorst 847
Skyler Woodward 814 -- Captain
Tyler Styer 790
Billy Thorpe 778

Average Fargos:
Europe -- 827.8
USA -- 815.2
difference 12.6

If you are planning to attend, but don't have tickets, and are on an average budget, I suggest buying normal tickets (about $80) in the 8th row or so, for a good view. On Friday get VIP seats (about $400) because that's all that's left. VIP includes dinner and seats in the front rows. Maybe there will be resold tickets available.

For those who think Fargo gives reasonable results/predictions ....

With that average difference in FR, you can say that on average, Team Europe has a 55.3% chance to win each match to five. If you think of each match as a single game and the Cup as a race to 11, that is like a race to 11 for two players who are 30 FargoRate points apart.

That's not an overwhelming advantage. Calculation says that Team USA has a 32% chance to win the Cup. It also says that if USA gets two games on the wire, the odds are 50-50.

As far as betting, I think if you find someone taking USA at less than 2:1 odds, take Yurop.

One thing this ignores is the captains' choice of players. Some players may get to play more/less and that will affect the average rating.

Of course, calculation from FR ignores lots of factors that you might want to include, like home court advantage and the chronic and debilitating team ennui that seems to plague one side. Part of the fun of betting comes from mixing in your feelings/hunches with the cold science of data analysis.

I have tickets for Wednesday and Thursday, and hoping to get good seats on Friday and Saturday.

I really hate the fact that Matchroom have so many expensive VIP tickets. Not everybody wants drinks and food.

Just sell me a good seat for a fair price.

As for the event, I really hope USA put up a fight.

Fargo ratings need to be adjusted for Mosconi pressure. Fedor and Shane play like 750s in the Mosconi.

Filler + Shaw alone is enough to tilt it massively in Europe's favor. Those guys show up at the Mosconi Cup in a huge way every time they play. Six MVPs between the two of them and five out of the last six.

I bought my tickets months ago and on the AXS website, when I click on my tickets, I get, "your tickets will appear here closer to the event date." Has anyone received their tickets yet?

Nobody will have received their tickets yet.

The below sentence is in the booking email confirmation, so tickets won't show up until 19th November at the earliest.

"In line with the wishes of the event organisers, the tickets will be released to AXS Accounts within 14 days of the event".

Thank you for this information.

Just like every year too many people put waaaay too much importance on what is really an exhibition. If you can just un-wad thy panties and chill its a lot more enjoyable. 5minutes after the last ball drops no one will talk about it. Well, except for those that think the outcome actually means something and that US pool can somehow be a big table power again. Not happening. Love to see a upset but i live in the real world.

It's often forgotten, but Alcaide has always played well at the Mosconi, too.

As was the case a year ago, unless Fedor and Shane play well, Team USA is dead on arrival. I think it may have hurt a little that Shane didn't play in the Reyes Cup, which would have prepared him better for this Mosconi, but Filler hasn't played in either the Reyes or the Mosconi since 2023, so let's see if that makes any difference.

If Fedor and Shane play well, however, this could be competitive. Of course, Shaw has proven that the rowdy crowd, found at the Mosconi Cup alone, does not slow him down one bit.

Most importantly, with Filler back in the mix, we're getting the best of Europe again, which we were denied at the 2024 Reyes Cup, the 2024 Mosconi Cup and the 2025 Reyes Cup. This is a power move by Matchroom, re-establishing the WNT as the gathering place of the greatest champions.

The Mosconi is a great event, a festival of pool. The energy and joy in the arena found at the Mosconi has not been duplicated in any other event that I've ever attended. I believe this will be my twelfth Mosconi Cup attended, and they were all fantastic.

Good luck to the ten fine players that make up the two teams.

Maybe, but there is no other event in my neck of the woods that gets the casuals interested...and it ain't even close. Not the US open, not the WCP, certainly not any of the Asian WNT majors that they trot out there.

League night in middle Tn, and not one person has bought a stream or is even talking about the latest US Open, however last week, folks were asking me about streaming options for the Cup. Anecdotal evidence for sure, but I would say that to the casual US fans MR is trying to reach, the MC is by far the most important event.

...
I think this is because Matchroom has run the Mosconi Cup for 32 years and has been promoting it all along. Traditional events gather a following.

I hope the airline cancellations because of federal shutdown is solved by the time the Cup happens. It could sure throw a monkey wrench into the logistics for a lot of people, including Team USA, if airlines aren't operating up to par.

The importance of this event, is way overrated these days. If anyone seen the netflix doc, on matchroom.
It wasn't even mentioned. It was all about the reyes cup. and the US open Emily played a big part in those episodes. Along with the boxing and the darts. I doubt, they make much out of it. Like garczar said, its an Exhibition. And see who can shout the loudest. There has only been one winner, in recent years. Its a shame there isn't more pool like the Philippine open.
That was a real crowd,

The Europeans certainly don't treat it like an exhibition. So if America are, then it sums up why the USA keep on losing.

This is the biggest event in pool, and is our equivalent to the Ryder Cup, which nobody would argue is an exhibition!

The pressure is unrivalled.

MR has literally been hyping this event all year... How are they not making much of of it?
