Great idea Jay. By the sound of the chatter though, it sounds like Scott Frost will be captain. He’s already on the payroll and he was talking about something he can’t mention?
What chatter? Not saying he won't be.

Agreed here. From my recollection, Yapp struggled for a few years getting over the hump. For some it takes time. Some never do. I hope Tyler does.Let me clarify my position. Obviously I root for the U.S. team. That being said, if they lose, and it's a spirited but respectful competition, I have zero issue with that outcome. Yes, winning and losing matter, but more importantly for me, is how you play the game.
I would also point out that while Styer did miss that nine ball, for most of that match, he outplayed Moritz IMO. He was up 4-2 at one point, I believe. Hopefully he's not listening to anyone who believes that he doesn't have some ability. He definitely needs to get on with cleaning up the unforced errors, and practice with a purpose. If he can exercise his particular demons, he's more than capable of competing at a very high level IMO. He just needs to figure out how to believe that...
That and anything that features Europe vs 'Murca has surefire attraction going back to 1776.I think this is because Matchroom has run the Mosconi Cup for 32 years and has been promoting it all along. Traditional events gather a following.
So do I. He seems like a genuinely decent chap. Some guys need certain affirmations, some guys are Lee Trevino. A sports Psychologist might be up Styers alley. Once he figures out what winds his clock, he should be just fine. It could be a catch phrase/mantra, or just learning to channel his emotions in a different manner. I don't think he's terminal so to speak...More like a case of mental erectile dysfunction, figuratively speaking. If I were his coach, I would tell him to quietly mouth the phrase "blue pill" on the exhale, and then pull the trigger. If any of you bozos actually try this, and it works, I accept PayPal and all major credit cards. The lesson is a one time fee of $12.50...payable to j2@holy $hit I can't believe this lunacy actually helped.AZBAgreed here. America would have to establish training facilities, and a feeder system to the professional level, then maybe it would gain outsider support. Some rich AZ billiards fan can sure spare a million to set up a training fund for a bunch of talents? Grow them now.
I find it peculiar that pool is so ingrained in USA culture but no angel investor to be found? Joe Rogan?
Yes, when he turns 40, he’ll be eligible.Would y'all say Shaw is Hall of Fame material?
Jayson had a social media ban on the team during Mosconi Cup.Did you buy any goodies?
What yr did Ty start?Agreed here. From my recollection, Yapp struggled for a few years getting over the hump. For some it takes time. Some never do. I hope Tyler does.
Ok.... but after seeing Shaws ''acting out'' he's proving pools not a sport by doing this.Jayson had a social media ban on the team during Mosconi Cup.
America would do well to follow suit.

Is this real? Someone in commentary mentioned they think the pockets are 3 7/8"
Thats tiiiiiiiight. Hard to believe balls were hitting the rail and still dropping, probably because of slick cloth but still. The Euros were drilling balls in like it was 4.5" pockets
Scott has been angling to be coach even before they named JJ. There were comments on the stream in between matches. They were talking about the team USA situation and how to fix it. They panned in on Scott and he got that shit eating grin that he has and said something along the lines "I do know but can't mention it. Then Emily chuckled out something and smiled. That was during a one of those quick convos between matches when they are standing in front of the table with the little interview lady, Emily and Scott. What chatter? Not saying he won't be.
What year did Tyler start playing or was chosen for MC?What yr did Ty start?
Sports psychologist needed. For all those moaning about the noise, go check out the last 9 in game 4 - there is dead silence in the room when Styer chokes on the shot.
Seems the crowd did get noisier as the crowd realized Styer was prone to choking on key shots.
Any player who is on the hill and has this set up for the last 8 ball of the match:

And manages to achieve this positioning on the 9:

And then misses the 9…
…Should probably not be included in the U.S.A team again. Or maybe the team needs a psychologist.
This was his 7th year. His first year was 2018. He has missed only year 2020 since then. What year did Tyler start playing or was chosen for MC?
