Who builds the Becue, full pool cues, and are they popular?

Sounds like fun, but I'm thinking my wife wouldn't approve 🙂
The town I grew up in has a very large Italian populace. I swear there were at least a dozen girls in high school that could have been supermodels.. I dated one girl that’s Mom was Irish and her Dad was Italian. OMG that mix produces something beyond beyond..

So she was a 5 foot 3 inch alcoholic?

Not a heavy drinker at all. One night in a local pub prior to dating her I told her she was a stuck up bitch expecting every guy to buy her drinks because she was hot as fook.

That draft beer she was drinking was immediately in my face. I laughed hilariously at her and said I’m wet and can fix that. Your still a bitch and probably will be forever.

About two months go by and we run into each other again. She comes up to me and apologizes for the beer toss and tells me I am the only guy that ever told her that. And she felt guilty about it.

It’s true I said and she smiles and laughs offering to buy me a beer!
That was the beginning of a wonderful relationship.. She was fire, passion and beauty all at once with strong dose of crazy wild!

You didn't hit a nerve with me.

I bought mine from a friend and I actually tried it before I bought it.

I had tried a few carbon fiber shafts before I bought it and never thought I would own one, but after hitting the Becue I wound up buying it.

I think it may play better than the others I tried is because the butt is carbon fiber as well as the shaft. It plays different than the on a wooden butt.

How does the diameter of the butt feel compared to "normal" cues?

What grip do you have?

Anyone reading have any thoughts on their grip options?

Thanks!

I have two Becues. The handle is definitely slimmer than normal, like a Mezz rather than a Schon. I play wrapless, so I don't know about the feel of their wrap options. I can say they are great hitting cues, solid and powerful with no unwanted vibrations.

The butt is smaller, I just measured it, mine is 1 1/8" across the butt cap end , I gave you the measurement so you can get an idea if that works for you, I like the smaller size, I think most cues are 1 1/4" to 1 1/3/8" so it's not a lot of difference, I have the Natural Born Naked cue with a leather wrap, Becue also did a custom 3" extension, they added the beauty rings to the extension for me and gave me a great price, if you are playing with a wood shaft now I would suggest the Prime II 12.0mm shaft, all the benefits of a CF shaft that is the closest feel to a wooden shaft I have ever tried in a CF shaft, I have owned the cue for 4 years and I have owned the Prime II shaft for almost a year now and couldn't be happier with it, feels like it was designed for me, hope this helps you.

I just retired from 38 years of service. The organization is buying me gifts(mostly pool related)
One of the my choices was a Becue, full Carbon Fiber. I chose a brown leather wrap to break up the blackness. It should arrive with in a week or two. I should know more soon.
I have never played a Carbon Fiber cue.

Did you get the Prime II shaft? You should be able to get that shaft with it, the transition will be easy for you

If I can find somebody to do it, I am thinking about refinishing the butt of my Becue Naked Cue.

I want to remove the clearcoat and have the section where a wrap would be on a normal cue painted in a Pearlescent White and then have the butt clearcoated again.

I have a black Prime shaft and two of the original White Prime shafts, one used and one never used.

Taper on the Prime II?

The Becue butt at 1-1/8" is the thinnest cue butt diameter I have found --- see below. Another European cue --- Shuriken Cues --- is virtually the same. The diameters below are for various cues and were collected from the following AZ posts:

I worked in tires for years, all tire sizes are in millimeters because everyone on the planet uses the metric system but the US, to convert mm to inches divide the mm by 25.4, that's how big 1" is, so if you divide 37.5 by 25.4(37.5÷25.4) you get 1.47 inches, my original guess was 1 1/4" to 1 3/8" so I was less than an 1/8" off without measuring anything but my own cue, the difference is very small, that's why I don't get to hung up on shaft sizes either, a 10.5 mm shaft compared to an 11.8 mm shaft is 1 and 1/4 mm difference, look at a mm on a ruler and you will be shocked at how small it is, if you think that small of a difference will make you draw better God bless you, my guess is working with a certified PBIA billiards instructor will make a way bigger difference.......

Contact Alessandro.bressan@becueofficial.com I know you bought yours used but they are great to work with, tell him I gave you his contact info, did you see the picture of the custom 3" extension they did for me that I posted? You introduced me to Becue hopefully I can return the favor 😉

The differences between the diameters of shafts doesn't seem to be much if you are just looking at them or if you use an open bridge.

If you use a tight closed bridge, like I do, you immediately notice even the smallest of a difference.

The difference between 12.2mm and a 12.5mm is extremely noticeable to me.

FWIW, I prefer larger to smaller.

There is a difference, 1/4 of 1 mm is not alot though, either way, for me knowing that it is that small of a difference let's me forget about it as being a problem so I can concentrate on my shot routine.
