I'm guessing it's because they only made about 100 tables in the first batch, and they were all the 3 piece slate version. They sold out in a few hours, according to a FB post by BW themselves.

Here is the new barbox. Looks like it might be the one used in the Ultimate Pool (I was mistaken earlier). From what I gathered on FB there might be 2 or 3 of these floating around right now, but they have not been offered for general sale yet.
Tournament Elite (brand new model from 2025/26). Similar design language to GC7.
The 2 tables are completely different, yet also seem quite similar. It doesn't look like a single piece of the visible portions of the table is carried over from the GCcoin to the Tournament Elite. It looks to me like Global is still the manufacturer, because the bill collector mechanism is exactly the same. The article below from BW states that bill collector is Global's own. I find it quite interesting that BW developed a new barbox to be similar design language to the GC7, when the GCcoin was still so new. That means to me they are really behind the GC7, and might be looking to make a big push in the commercial space.
Here is the article from Brunswick when the GCcoin was released. It's a long read, but has a lot of the recent company history if you are interested, and how Nick from the GC7 videos came on board. It also verifies from the horse's mouth that the GCcoin was made by Global.

Funny thing about that article, it was from nov 2023, and said the table was just being introduced. Yet Archer's room had them in Oct 2021. Can't always believe everything you see/read/hear, even if its from the company themselves. The table hasn't been on the BW site for sale in a few years from what I recall. I think Archer and a handful of other customers were possibly the only ones that ever got them.

Yeah, the new design connects to the GC7. Hopefully the table will play well and hold up in a commercial environment. The Global 7’s I have played on (not Brunswick branded) have not been great. In fairness, part of it is maintenance. If they were half maintained with a decent set of balls my opinion might be better. That said, the Diamond 7’ is IMO, a lot better.
So, can Brunswick make it so that these play good and room owners can get them and make money? I’m all for American companies putting out good products for pool.

I just went on Global's FB page after a google search took me there. It seems the tables are actually made in California from what I can tell. They also have full size tables and heated carom tables. I wonder why they are not more popular? Are they regional only perhaps?
Their website is only a landing page, and their FB has not been updated since 2019. IDK if they are still in business?

When they do release the GC7 with drop pockets will they be the same rubber type pockets that Gold Crowns in the past have used? That was always one of the cool features of my Gold Crown IV, listening to the balls fall into those rubber pockets and the sound of that.

Seems kind of bouncy to me, closer to a Diamond than a GC. Hard to say for sure unless on the table. The aesthetics are out of this world good though.

The Global version has been around for a while:
Is this a real competitor to the Diamond barbox? Price is good. It has SuperSpeed cushions. You can get it with a quarter coin mechanism, or an electronic mechanism, or both. It looks pretty for a bar table. Archer is going to have these in a new room he is opening in a few months in Georgia. I don't know how the slate and rails are attached on it. If its like a big table, or a traditional bar table.
