Pallet of new cues for sale at 20 cues per box for $100 ($5/cue) --- Comments?

Do you really believe if this pallet were stolen goods, the supplier and purchase order reference number would be made public?
The information in this post is enough to convince me that the Facebook seller's prices were not ridiculous.

Its no that hard to show that pallets of cues sell between $1 and $2 a cue. PoolHall6562's post did it without disclosing any private information. I just thought ---my bad --- that it was obviously a too good to be true price.

no now you get to see what cheap import cues are really worth.

but likely deano will get them before anyone else.:)

The only problem I have with the cranked out Chinese cues is the taper. I have half a dozen bought separately, retail, and the wood won't budge with sandpaper. Probably stabilizer but whatever it is requires a lathe and the smith.

all wood goes down with the right grade of good sand paper. the cheap stuff wears off the paper too quickly and your then sanding with nothing.

Seriously. I used this Gator brand paper from Walmart. Didn't clog at all. Made enough dust. I gave up about a quarter way from original to pro taper; essentially, no effect.

you need to start with better sand paper, minimum the 3m brand. and use a coarser one and work your way down to finer grits untill you get the smoothest finish.
if you are starting with say 100 grit you will take forever.

I've done over a dozen of my shafts and it's only the recent ones from China that put up a fight. The Valhallas, Players and Mac Luckys - no such problem. 150, 200 will start and finish the work. Minimal follow up with finer grade wet paper.

way too fine for taking wood off unless you got plenty of time and lots of sand paper. that is your problem.

i would hate to see your shafts paul.
