WNT Legends

My $100 annual WNTTV subscription just auto renewed. As much as I would have liked to watch this, I feel a bit gut punched by MR for this event to cost additional. No thanks.
 
That table they are playing on. It sure seems like the balls roll a great deal. It looks so fast. Most shots they are stroking so easy. It appears to play so much better and faster than my Gold Crown IV. Of course we have been all through that many times.

Did you always have the same mechanic install your cloth? I wonder if he didn't pull it tight enough.

That's 760 or better (the geriatric grades). 860 is slow as fk by comparison.
 
9:46 -- stream just came on for me, 16 minutes late. Score already 1-0. "Technical difficulties" says Scott Frost.

I'm super bummed too that I pay the regular subscription and they wanted more money for this. I didn't buy it. I would have definitely watched if it was part of the subscription.

Does anyone know the total standings? I went on wntlivescores and can't make heads or tails of it. It seems they have 5 or 6 events for this tournament, rather than one event page.

See posts #74 and #79 above. In the first match today, Souquet beat Reyes 11-9 for third place. The Final will be Bustsmante vs. Strickland in a little while. But first they are going to have an exhibition doubles match race to 5. Bustamante and Reyes vs. Strickland and Souquet. Coming up soon.

I just noticed it's Andy cloth. I played a WNT satellite tournament where Andy had donated a batch to the TD and he had it installed on half the tables. The other half were 760, which was the normal cloth for this room. Tables were GC3's. Both cloths were installed by the same mechanic a few days before the tournament. The Andy cloth was faster than the 760.

You need 760 at least in your wet basement, not the 860 you've always had. Plus, a dehumidifier or AC unit to run all the time, not only when you play. A heater under the table will will also help.
