Pagulyan Carbon Fiber shaft?

In a few weeks, people will be posting their reviews on here saying it's the best CF shaft they've ever hit with and has the best "feel" out of anything on the market and they are now 3 balls better.
In golf its 'putter-itis", you putt lights out for a few rounds and then BAM you go right back to your old three-puttin doggin ass. New cue/shaft often does same thing. All mental.

Im running the Mezz Ignite. Have been for a over a year now. Love it. I have a Revo, I ddnt like the way it played so it's a break shaft now. I tried a few of the others and just like the Mezz the most.

Like I said in a previous post... if it it was anything like the Mezz or better at a more comparable price, I would have definitely considered it after hitting with it.

Im still going to hit with it when I get there on Tuesday. It might be the nuts... who knows... but at $800 I should be able to set it on the table and it just make balls for me.

Is it just a rebranded Taom? Or are there any differences besides the shape of it?
made by the same company, I don't know if it's the same.
I have the blue Taum V10 and the Green Pagulayan and the Pagulayan feels softer and applies easier and holds better. maybe the green V10 is the same, I don't know, never tried it.

Is it just me, or does it look suspiciously like a rebranded rhino CF shaft?
For sure, probably pick an existing product and modify it till their liking. Everyone needs to make money, if you invest in time and effort to build your brand, you can sell your product at whatever price you want. But selling a $800 pool product out of nowhere is wild LOL.

Majority of customer today knows better, plus there already hundreds of CF shafts on the market. Of course Alex team understands that, they want to be different than the rest, which makes sense to me. They do not want to compete with Predator or CueTec for the mass market, they aim to a different and smaller group of buyers.

As far as I know, most CF shaft cost less than $50 to make (shipped to your warehouse/garage), some probably less than $10. Taom chalk probably cost less than $1 to make (shipped), hell maybe even10 cents. Of course you have to buy large enough quantity. It's the branding and the trust that make it $20 chalk or $500 shaft . Alex's branding is not yet worth $800 to me today LOL

That's interesting. I'm gonna have to buy some soon when my table arrives next week to keep it clean. Still deciding on what to get, but you may have convinced me to go with Pagulayan. Plus I like square over round lol.

LOL. How can you tell from the 1 picture?
Make the rhino image darker (adjust the contrast a bit) and change the tip. Not many CF shaft use that size of ferrule, most are shorter or longer.

My opinion doesn't mean much, but as soon as I saw it, I immediately thought it was a Rhino shaft. Plus they offer all the same shaft sizes.

It’s just the latest offering of an aging player trying to find a way to negotiate his way financially for his time left on this rock.

He also sells a new case
good for him, he is in a point of his career that he won't make a lot of money from playing pool but his brand is still strong to sell products.
His chalk is good and so are the socks he sent me with the chalk...
I also got his glove but haven't tried it yet, I got a bunch of different gloves waiting for their turn...
That case looks nice.
No way in hell I would pay for that shaft. The only high $$ shaft that would get my money is Revo (after testing and owning a few brands)
Heck, I'd buy a custom hybrid for half that and it would play better.

His ad says "unlike hollow or overly thin designs....". That means to me it will squirt much more than a Revo, or even a 314.

Pristine™ carbon fiber pool cue shafts are built for players who demand more than low deflection alone. Boutique built in Canada, this limited production carbon fiber shaft is engineered to deliver the connected, authentic feel players expect from tight-grain maple—without sacrificing the consistency and stability of modern materials.

Unlike hollow or overly thin designs, Pristine™ controls deflection through balanced mass distribution and vibration management, creating a quieter, more confident hit. Offered in multiple tip diameters on the same purpose-built taper, Pristine™ is trusted by serious players seeking one of the best carbon fiber pool cue shafts available today.
Why can't more companies try to differentiate their carbon fiber shaft from others?

Some provide some meat:
Becue gives long story on how it worked so hard to make a different and better CF shaft.
And Pagulayan? Lots of words but no substance showing how it differs from any other CF shaft.
