A friend of mine had his Revo with a BVP modified to have WVP, he says he cant see the tip of the cue when playing. I have both WVP and BVP and to me the color does not affect my game...

I have a difficult time identifying the end of the shaft with a black vault plate, even the thin white ones can be tough. This is why I like the cynergy, there's enough contrast for me to see it clearly.

Is a BVP the piece the tip sits on, Like a ferule?
Never mind I just looked it up. Just add to the conversation years ago Luther Lassiter had his ferrules colored with red fingernail polish he said it helped him see the cue ball better.

What is the purpose of a vault plate? Kamui has those clear pads on some of their tips and as I understand its just there to make it easier/better for gluing the tip on. One of my friends takes the Kamui tip off of the clear pad then uses it on other tips, in that case the clear pad really serves no purpose other than visual. Just more glue points to give the tip an opportunity to pop off if you ask me.

Naw...I think it is purpose built component for carbon shafts.

The vault plate is what replaces a ferrule on a CF shaft. Take a look under the heading "Pin-Point Accuracy" here: https://www.predatorcues.com/usa/predator-revo-12-9-mm-shaft-for-radial-joint-white-vault-plate.html
