It is tough to see someone else copy your product...

Trademark your vision.
I just created my own TM with the uspto.
Once approved the Lehman law protects you.
If another uses it w/o your approval you can legally go after them or create a contract allowing them to use your TM but they have to pay for it's usage.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if I missed the pocket to the right, doesn't it mean I should've aimed/shot a bit more left?

I didn't even realize that I needed a gadget to tell me that.

Damn...

A simple way to see how accurate a shot is: mark the center of the pocket with a donut. See whether the object ball touches the donut or passes over its center. That's better than just seeing if you make the ball.

And/or center a ball on that donut. If the object ball doesn't follow the pocket ball into the pocket, your aim was off. Instant feedback.

I don’t really think that this concept solves a problem that needs to be solved. People don’t have trouble telling which side of the pocket that they missed on.

This is also a product that has been invented and reinvented over and over again for 50 years. It isn’t novel.

So don’t sweat it.

Well, that product is basically just a high tech set of golf tees. The drill/idea has been around forever. Sure, it's frustrating but it wasn't anything that hasn't been done by students of the game for decades.

Don't get me wrong, it sucks for sure, but a lot of times similar ideas pop up all the time. It may have not been a copy at all.

I used to be super into spudguns as a hobby. It was insane the amount of times I would come up with something out of the blue and start refining it... less than a week later someone else posted pretty much the exact thing. I've had it happen with my ideas and I've done it to other people with similar ideas. It happens quite often and can explain the entire thing without malice.

I tried that but the donut went everywhere after I hit it.

Many beginners pay no attention to which side they missed on. For a ball along the short rail, if they hit it too full, and it hits the short rail and then the long-rail jaw, they will often say they hit it too thin, because they only seem to see the contact on the long rail. Really.

Imagine how Aramith must feel to see DynaSpheres showcase a new TITAN ball set in China with a purple 5 and black/yellow 9 ball.

Do you want to pull your hair out giving lessons? hahaha

I ain't leaving any donuts on my table! Especially powdered ones.

It is a good exercise in patience. It's also a constant reminder that the posters here are not typical pool players.
I still chuckle till this day when you and I played straight pool on my table and when it was my turn to rack I grabbed the key ball and put it in the rack. I can still see your face when it had "What the hell are you doing?" written all over it.
