I have two of them and 7 interchangeable shafts for them.

They play as well as any cue.

A friend of mine had this old Joss with the block lettering, I ran my first five pack with it. Harry died around 2018 and i had no way to contact his wife.

If you find a $150 cue that plays the way you desire, I commend you and wish I could. The house cue I loved disappears before I could pull a magic trick and saw it in half.

Older house cues
Some of 60's Brunswick house cues were very good wood many types of those became Sneaky Petes.
But the OP was addressing some choices, and w/o hitting balls first I wouldn't risk the purchase.
I actually played with a Balabuska that had a horrible hit, the name still sold for about $3,800 in the early 80's.
