Edit: Deleted. Please Delete this thread. Thank you.

these are players sub-brand pure-x cues. very good bang for the buck. they are not inlayed, i think all of them are graphics. the original HXT shaft is imo better than the mcdermott i3.

the pure-x break/jump is one of very few j/b cues that's good at both.

From your product page:

"100% North American Hard Rock maple"

That tells me it's a decal cue. The decals give the visual appearance of three distinct woods, which would not result in a cue with 100% maple
The product page is contradictory about the butt: it claims it is 100% maple and "made of exotic Rengas". Rengas is a wood.

PoolDawg has another Pure X HXTE model --- HXTE4. It, too, has the Rengas but it describes the butt as birdseye maple with Rengas and abalone graphics. Graphics likely means decal; HXTE4 has a butt with decals of a wood, Rengas, and a sea shell, abalone.

If HXTE20 is anything like HXTE4, HXTE20, too, has a decal of rengas wood.

Perhaps you needn’t be nasty when someone is looking for information sincerely.
Dude has been on here forever under countless usernames, always asking if he's found that 1 in a million cue for a fraction of the price. He hasn't.

He solicits expert advice and, yeah ... go reread how he responded here and on reddit for some context.

How does it feel to be wrong? Both you and Mr Ozone employee were wrong,, lol. I think you owe me an apology, lol. This cue was in fact made with real woods (Rengas, and BEM), real points, and real veneers.

I had a pretty good feeling that I was right about this, and now I have proof, lol.
Of course its made with real wood, then covered with a decal of simulation wood. SMH.

So, it is simulated Birds eye maple, and Rengas woods? Not the real thing? I find that hard to believe. I have had a lit of very nice cues, and the BEM looks real, in the handle. Am I just a fool?

Have you seen the advertising for Pechaur cues? They advertise Simulated Ebony, on any cues that have any black in them. Basically Black stained Maple, I believe. Even in a lot of their high end models, priced over $1k.

Easy to simulate Ebony (just paint it Black, or stain it Black), but Rengas and Birds eye maple?

Yeah, I am probably fooling myself. It is a very cheap cue. The maple veneers look very real though, and so do the woods. The handle looks like a real, natural BEM, and that is how it is advertised. They do not use the word Simulated, or graphic, or decal, for the woods.

It is also advertised as having Maple veneers. Not simulated.

Why are you so wrapped up in and worrying about horse trading cues?

Find a cue you like, keep it, and be done.

Do you think the BEM handle is also a Decal?

PureX cues advertised Birds eye maple, in their cues, including this one.

The Handle just looks so real, to be a decal.

You do not understand. People here are laughing at me, and making fun of me. I am just very angry.

I do not like being laughed at.

Just find it very hard to believe that the entire cue is one big Decal, like people are saying.

The veneers innthe points, for example, look so real, and are flawed, and uneven.

A Decal would look flawless, and perfect.

From what I have seen, when an old cue gets dinged up, the paint from decals chip off..

I do not see that, with the many dings that are in this old used pool cue.

Lol, I just hate the idea of Decals. Sounds like something that would only be done with cues that are Garbage quality.

But lol, even Predator uses Decals in their veneers, from what I read. So, I don't know.

Just bored, lol..

Your incessant posting about a cue's worth, workmanship, maker, etc, opens you up for people to respond and some in ways that may not be polite.

You, TYPICALLY, start a post by asking a question and then refuting people who respond with an answer you were not expecting or do not like.

The majority of your questions can be answered by using Google or AI.

The majority of your questions can be answered by using Google or AI.
For best results when using AI, ask the question using at least two distinct AI algorithms, e.g., ChatGPT and Claude, using identical prompts. This will help with identifying hAIlucinations. If the same question gets substantially different answers from two different AI algorithms, at least one of the answers is probably a hAIlucination.

Also, am I the only person who finds it odd that none of the major AI algorithms are called brAIn?

You said you got it cheap. It's not likely to bring much (if any) profit, regardless.
If it makes you mad and you aren't planning to keep & play it, just throw that bad boy under a radial arm saw and find your truth.
If you're right, you can crow about it. If not, you can remain silent. Problem solved.

Send me the cue butt. Keep the shaft. I have a saw. I have a camera.

I will post pictures.

Should be fun.

You want shipping? OK, I'll cover that.

If you got it cheap the value is in the shaft.

I'll chop it up and make JPs, key chains...maybe an extension or jump cue. Or I'll make a handle for my wife beater...also known as a fly swatter. Or I'll just whittle me some tooth picks...

I'll throw a $20 e-payment to the boy, if you get it in your hands in the next month or so.

GoCut Fund starts here...total to date: free shipping and $20!

Does the fact that it is all dinged up to hell prove anything? Have you ever seen a ding in a Decal cue? When a Decal / Graphic cue gets dinged, the paint / decal comes right off, and the maple under it is shown.

I could post picks of the dings, but I guess that would not prove anything, lol. Not to these guys anyways. It is a Players, so that means it is 100% a Decal cue, in their minds, lol.

Also, why would a Decal / Graphic cue be so well made?

Why would Decal / Graphic Points, and veneers be uneven, and flawed?

I really like the cue, lol. It think it has an amazing feel to it.

Cutting in half a really good cue seems pretty wasteful.

I just like talking about cues. I thought that is what forums are for.

I am done though. Lets just burry this thread, lol.

There is no Delete button for AZB Forum posts though, lol.

Can’t really tell nothing from these bad photos.
I doubt that these are veneers, can’t see a seam but then again, can’t tell much from these photos.
There are two methods for points - inlays and splice, if these terms are not used in a cue description then it usually means they want to keep it vague to hide the truth.

And you should know that there decals that look like wood

Please forgive my shit camera. Wish I had a better camera. So, does anything here look real, or again, do you think these are Decals? Lol.

Notice the uneven points, and uneven veneers? Would decal / graphics / overlays look like that?
