Classic Billiards - FL Open prep

What were the odds that the Last 8 would not have any of Filler, Gorst, Sanchez-Ruiz, and E. Kaçi?
Again, thin margins. Just takes a few errant strokes with winner break.

Fedor had multiple chances. So did Filler, FSR … I didn’t see E. Kaci.

Still got heavy hitters. Everyone has 800 Fargo except Krause and AJ Manas. They will top 800 soon.

Final four....

Teutscher keeps getting better. Not leaps and bounds but steadily. Great jumper, much to my surprise. He made a handful of great jump shots to beat Fedor and come from behind vs Manas. Small sample size, he could be top 10 in that category from what I’ve seen

Still doesn’t persuade me at times. He makes some big boo-boos now and then. But he recently topped 800 in Fargo. He’s doing a lot right.

No Gorst at the Florida Open according to the bracket which is surprising.
Yes, disappointing, but we can be sure Fedor has a very good reason for skipping it. Hope he's well. Fedor is one of the biggest reasons to watch pro pool.

Fedor not playing is ridiculous.

Team USA is going to have Thorsten, Lukas and Styer as the 3 automatic picks for Team USA.

Kid Kaci is turning into a beast. Only 20, wow.
I watched the final last night. Krause was superb during the event and looked great ahead of the final. Yet he and Kledio started out slow. They both missed makeable shots and positioning.

Kaci settled down first, and got in a groove midway through the match. Great fundamentals, hardly any excessbody movement. He gets a lot of power effortlessly, but relies more on superior pattern play to avoid getting into jams.

Krause was aggressive throughout the match, but it cost him. Too many misses and situations in which he had to resort to the jump cue. Krause is a great jumper and better than Kledio, but jumping also results in unpredictable movement of the cue ball and object balls.

Kaci was more judicious in his use of the jump cue and seldom put himself in the position to need it.

Kledio still seems to lack the extra gear, or the wow factor, of the very best players in the game. He is also more prone than top players to miss long cut shots. Correctable errors, though, and he might get that wow factor with more experience and age.
