WNT Florida Open: New Cloth Color?

Says the individual who posted a picture of their violated GC that looks like it belongs in the waiting room at Barbie’s Kitten Ranch 👌
point proven 😂

I think it’s dumb but it is what it is at this point. Emily and Matchroom are a known commodity at this point so wacky changes for the sake of change don’t surprise me anymore. Nothing is off limits to them it seems.

And for those saying this is a marketing ploy and that it’s working because we’re talking about it are forgetting that this forum is not representative of the broader pool audience. I mean someone started a thread talking about if pool players should be paid in crypto for Pete’s sake… The point is, we were always going to talk about this tournament, regardless of what color cloth they picked.

The CPBA is still listed as a sponsor on the WNT website for the Florida Open. If that's the case, this cloth ain't SImonis.

On the CPBA website, there is the "Royal Series" of worsted cloth, which includes a color called "Sakura pink." https://www.cpbabrand.com/
The Sakura pink looks a little more pinkish than the table that Emily is standing by in the first post to this thread, which looks more salmon-ish.

Maybe, like the red Cuetec mechanical bridge which is proprietary and can only be seen at the WNT events, maybe this is a proprietary new color, the salmon-ish one.

However, this is the Sakura pink. By the way, "Sakura" is the Japanese term for the cherry blossom tree and its flower. It symbolizes spring, new beginnings, and the short, precious nature of life.

Who cares what color the cloth is?
She’s playing up the Florida location, and we’re talking about it.
That’s the goal.
Though, it took me a while to grow accustomed to the gray🙄
Ultimately, it’s the player not the color of the cloth.

The better question: Is anyone at Matchroom Pool reaching out to the hometown news of each player?

How about the Boys & Girls clubs of America, which usually have a pool table in them?
How about inviting local Day Camps for day matches in the Summer and public/private schools in the Winter?
Someone needs to do THAT.

Matchroom gave me permission to promote MOSCONI on this side of the pond in 2015 with a 20% discount for the military & I bust my ass for MOSCONI Vegas, contacting every military base in Nevada & the 5 states that border it.
The USA doesn’t know there’s a Team USA they can get behind.

I also invited President Barak Obama who plays pool.
The White House responded with a “no” but at least I tried.

I did this gratis.

Coincidentally, it was the first year they sold out all 2,500 seats.
Hey why not invite Trump now. I heard he said he is a great pool player “maybe the greatest pool player ever”

🤣🤣🤣

I used to live and sell real estate in NYC and he stiffed a contractor that I used to work with.
He’s persona non grata.
Pool has had enough no goodniks.
