How do you say that so confidently? It certainly looks like a skid to me, and from what I have heard, Justin uses Master chalk. Dirt and chalk both have been known to cause skids. In that environment, I would suspect chalk before dirt.
Correlation not causation. I can say that confidently because I've played with Master's chalk for decades and skids only typically happen with dirty balls. Now the dirt accumulation may be partially due to the chalk being used but what you're seeing is CIT and I noticed it especially with that set of balls. At Yuma, especially at Phoenix and at two different locations with my personal set both with and without master's chalk.
edit: Now I will concede that it may be a combination of the dynaspheres and the Master's chalk. But Aramith pros or centennials will not skid if they're clean even using master's.

Why not using some of that added money to buy chalk for the whole event, and have it on all of the tables, to share? If TAOM is the cleanest, and maybe the best, then buy that stuff, to put on all of the tables. Then, make it a rule that the chalk will be provided on the tables, to share. Lol, maybe that is really dumb, but just a thought. Masters Chalk is really messy. I know that much.
A really solid, and popular Chalk sponsor might even be willing to provide the chalk for the tournament, to have on all of the tables. Maybe this is dumb. I do not know. Lol.
With 256 players? These are pool players you know. $20 cubes of chalk will walk like forrest gump.

Anyways, I am sure that there must be some really good, clean options out there, for Chalk, that are cheaper then $20 a cube, right? I remember Russian Magic chalk was like $10, for 2 cubes, lol.

Off topic: I didn't start pronouncing Titleist correctly until the late 2000s. Thought it was tit-layst. Felt like such an idiot.
They also weren’t playing on insanely fast cloth with 4 inch pockets so accuracy is at a different level .
Because he obviously knows more than the best players in the world who are actually playing in the tournament. Duhhh lol

Rewatching that Biado shot on YT at reduced speed with zoom, I'm in the throw camp. I hope Biado's perseverance to claw back to 8-7 Bergman in that match doesn't also blame chalk on missing BIH on the 2 down the long rail that sold out the game.

Dr Dave’s skid tests using clean Aramiths showed skids on chalk marks.
I also recall the World 8b that Shane won (back when he was using Master) he was getting a lot of skids. He had the CB cleaned constantly. Now that was with Predator balls and cloth I believe.
Hey I'm always open to being wrong. Just talking from my experience. Not that that would make me wrong. The dirtier the ball the more likely the skid.

yawn, all this for them to sell a few more of their partners chalks...
I remember about fifty years ago a tournament was played on red tables and one of the lesser chalks threw in a few bones of sponsorship. One of the firm rules was that you must use that brand of red chalk. It was a pretty big open event and a double handful of pro players showed up.
Local players had to use the crappy sponsor's chalk, loss of game or a DQ if you weren't using red chalk. The "name" players? Blue or green Master chalk was just fine!
I have used Master chalk for over fifty years. I chalk before each game and before shots using near maximum spin. So far so good!
I did get in a testing mood a decade or so ago. I baked a dozen pieces of Master in an oven, left some out in the weather for a couple months, New Orleans outdoors, you could almost wring the water out of the chalk after a month or so outdoors.
The most amazing thing? Master chalk dried in the oven at 200 degrees for a few hours played better than factory chalk. Master chalk left out in the weather played better too! Master had managed to select the absolute worst moisture content to market their chalk at!
Something else odd. I wrapped electrical tape around the chalk I was testing in Buff's place on Airline. About as trashy an area as could be found. When the chalk had just a few hours wear I would leave it on the table still wrapped in tape. I had my chalk returned to me over a dozen times when people thought I had left it behind accidentally! People surely didn't understand what they were doing to pool players' lowlife reputation! I couldn't even leave a seventeen cent piece of chalk behind without peeling my marking off of it.

Twenty years ago, people argued about the merits of pre-flag vs post-flag Masters chalk. Some claimed the pre-flag stuff was better quality than the post-flag chalk.Who would have guessed chalk would become like 17th century-style European religious wars!
Masters said it was the same chalk; only the label changed.
I thought that they removed lead from the formula...
