I have the SMO 12.5 and it’s a great shaft. I like it better than the Cynergy or the Rhino. I also have the Revo 12.9 which I really like.
I have been playing Becue for the last4 years, Becue builds shafts differently than any manufacturer I know of, instead of continuously building the new "best" shaft ever, they build different shafts for different types of hit, the first Prime shaft is very Muecci like, some consider it "whippy" I think it is very wood like shaft, the Engage shaft is a pure CF hit, very little if any feedback, if you like the majority of the well known shafts you will like the hit of this shaft, the Prime II is my favorite shaft, to me it has the best balance of feedback and CF hit, they all have LD and play great, the best shaft is the one that feels the best to you, Becue said it best, not everyone would like how one cue hits, they have taken the challenge to build cues that have several great hitting styles of cues and shafts
The rhino is trash went thru 3. The carbon white break Cue never broke, but the feral came loose three times so I was on my fourth one. The ferrule doesn’t break, but it does become loose. It’s a flaw of their design. And then the playing shaft developed a terrible noise coming from the inside. I bought it from Seyberts and they said when I could send it in, but they probably would not warrant it. And then the guy hit one ball with it and heard the sound and sent me a brand new one. It was like something inside had broken. Upon doing more research, I found out I’m not the only customer who had a problem with Whyte carbon shafts. Everything else I have is predator , Cuetech or Viking never had anything break on me ever.
Becue's are made in Italy, great products and company, the will be at SBE next spring, if you are going stop by and talk to them
Talk to Alessandro, he has always responded to calls or emails, Hawaiian Eye turned me on to these cues, they even have CF butts, best hitting cue I have ever owned, these guys are pool players who wanted to bring the same benefits from CF tennis racquets, golf clubs, ect. to pool players, they spent 3 yrs in R& D building their first cue.
Their customer service is top notch.
I own the Natural Born Naked cue, Alessandro even built a custom 3" extension for it at a very reasonable price, I'm using the standard 29" butt with the 3" extension and a 30" Prime II 12.0 shaft and couldn't be happier with it, I use the clear Ferrule and added an acrylic pad and am using the Bulletproof Recoil Green (hard) tip if there is any difference in deflection from adding the pad I don't notice it, one last side note, I have always played with a glove, even with wood shafts, one night while practicing I went to the bathroom, took off my glove, and when I came back to the table only had 3 balls left so I shot them without the glove, it's been 4 months and I haven't used the glove since, some people complain CF is sticky and you have to use a glove, even in the summer humidity it wasn't a problem with this shaft, I swore I would never use a CF shaft, I can't thank Hawaiian Eye enough for turning me on to Becue, I didn't lie though, I'm not using a CF shaft, I'm using a CF cue........
