Here's a little fact that might have escaped some. Nobody has been able to successfully defend the UMB world title since 1992! (Blomdahl, 1991 and 1992). It was contested in a series of 5 or 6 World Cups those years. The last one to defend the 3C title in one-week events was Raymond Ceulemans (1979 and 1980).

Caudron really delivered on 1st match! Cho escaped his bad play by suberb bank shot to end it.. :)
 
I have to say, I'm dissapointed!

This might be the 'Worst' Live stream for a High profile event!

Buffering every 7-10 seconds, Bad camera angles, Poor lighting!
 
Watched a Woo match earlier where he came with a 'sweet 16' 16ball run. That dude is creative as hell.

The main table has multiple views and commentary. The secondary tables have a single, fixed camera at a funny angle.

There are a lot of billiard videos on YouTube now that have some sort of AI translation and while I always wished I understood what they're saying, it ain't good when you hear it. Not technical, more observational.

I'm sure there is some good commentary but I haven't heard it yet.

Wish UMB/ afreecaTV would spend the durn money and get @Bert van Manen and Blomdahl back on the mic...but it's easy to spend other peoples' $.

Frankly, the UMB plays no part in the operation of the streaming. Soop, formerly AfreecaTV, told me two years ago that I had to do the commentary from home, to save travel & hotel expenses. What they didn't know, was that my motivation for the work was never in the modest salary, but mainly in visiting World Cups and seeing historic matches up close. So I said thx but no thx. TB recently asked me if I had any interest in picking it (commentary) up with him, renting us out as a duo. Not difficult, I love to work with TB. So I said if you'll do it, I'll do it. But an honest day's work should come with an honest day's pay. And I'm not doing it from home.
