He has always had the ability. Dedication, not so much.Good little run from Woodward beating Styer, Biado, and Kledio Kaci just as I was thinking he might be washed!

I'll take a washed up Sky over an in-form Thorsten at the MC.Good little run from Woodward beating Styer, Biado, and Kledio Kaci just as I was thinking he might be washed!
I'll take big Kaci before the break but I'll take Duong after the break. Tough one to call. Hard to bet against Duong after he whooped on Shaw in that race to 120 (which is almost at a million views on Youtube btw, kinda wild for a pool match that was uploaded 4 days ago). The Vietnamese fans are eating good.the big matches of next round is
big kaci v duong quoc hoang
albin v alcaide
i guess they'll play them tomorrow
svb won after a shootout.
I actually stopped watching and just checked the score later. It looks like a practice session to me, and has no interest whatsoever.Maybe now this forum will warm up to the shootout

I got Alcaide over Albin due to recent form.

Miss!So what happens in a shootout if you make the object ball but scratch, does the ball count or is it considered a miss due to the scratch??
SVB isn't playing up to par, and I suspect skipping two Matchroom majors and the China Open in 2026 has him less prepared than those who participate in every world class level event. Nonetheless, he has been able to gradually play himself into form, and if he finds his form sooner rather than later, he can still contend for the title. Wish him well.SVB was in a dogfight, but he got the last bite in. He has struggled all week. Looks nothing like the dominant player he was during the big stretch of Matchroom tourneys in the U.S. No home court advantage and jet lag equal ...
Nasution played exceptionally well. His runout in the third set to tie it up 3-3 was a thing of beauty. Low robustness, but his Fargo is 804. He looked the part.
It takes days to fully adjust to the time difference. 10-12 time zones apart.SVB isn't playing up to par, and I suspect skipping two Matchroom majors and the China Open in 2026 has him less prepared than those who participate in every world class level event. That's the cost of having skipped the China Open 9ball in favor of playing a small regional event in Colorado. He is, in all probability, less prepared for world class competition, and possibly has more jet lag to deal with. To be fair, though, Shane surely has more experience in dealing with jet lag than any pool player in American history. It takes days to fully adjust to the time difference. 10-12 time zones apart.
Han Yu is just a wonderful player. I think she'd play even better if Wu Kun Lin trusted her a little more. He is probably not even a better pattern player than her, but he rarely just let's her make the pattern decisions without him. Like Seo Seoa, however, Han Yu keeps a good humor about it, but the overbearing Wu may be keeping her from her maximum performance. Those mixed doubles matches were good.
Seo and Capito were on fire in the first set, then one bad miss led to it going neck and neck and they finished it out in the end.
I was also watching the Chou/Gorst vs Wu/Yu match, the latter clawed their way back to win the first set then narrowly won the 2nd as well. Yu and Yu won the last mixed doubles event, maybe they will repeat.
I have not seen that happen on a make a single time. The Predator rules consider a scratch on a made shot a miss, as would be the case in regular play. Same rules applySo what happens in a shootout if you make the object ball but scratch, does the ball count or is it considered a miss due to the scratch??
He has actually lost weight. I agree he played bad and was also very emotional. I think he really wants to win. When he is playing bad , he seems to try and play himself back into the game by slamming the balls!!Agreed, he looks haggard. He’s getting older, balder, fatter. His match with Naustion is a good example, he looked frustrated, unhappy, and lots of negative body language and muttering to himself.
I don't think missing those events this year are an issue in Vietnam. Shane went on a workout spree after the loss to Gorst in their long race. SVB was great on the U.S. swing, playing in the Florida, Arizona, Phoenix and US opens. And, of course, winning the Florida Open.SVB isn't playing up to par, and I suspect skipping two Matchroom majors and the China Open in 2026 has him less prepared than those who participate in every world class level event.
