I beg to differ. I wear a step counter when I play. I just finished a 7 hour session today and walked 11.3 miles in the course of it.1
We should all be outside exercising.

Did you get any sunlight during those 7 hours?I beg to differ. I wear a step counter when I play. I just finished a 7 hour session today and walked 11.3 miles in the course of it.
Been there, ended up buying more cues… hahaNot sure what I'll do if I ever have to play in a venue that doesn't offer house cues. I guess I'll cross that bridge when it appears.
Good to know, however, I meant cases. I have another dealer case on the way.i have plenty of room if you need it.....![]()

Guilty as charged.Any more than 200 is pushing it.
If you know how many you have you do not have enough. Seriously when I had 2 players I thought that was too many......If you ever get a home table buying just to buy for display/wall art is fun. I currently have more cues than brains.... I'd buy more but it's getting time to downsize, Cannot do both.Hello, I was wondering how many cues does the average player have.. right now I have two complete sets that include shooter, jump, and break in two different side
Add LP's and CD's. Tools, Lathes, Who said Cue Cases?Player? 3-4 is fine. One is great.
Collector?
Well, how much space do you have? Display...storage...safe...closet...room...workbench...photography...lathe...computer...
A collection can be a single case with a few cues...or rooms in your house...
Look at the Glenn collection.
I have two parameters. I will not let the cue collection crowd out the gun collection and I will not let it force out The Crazy Redhead...for now...
He just popped a 5k vitamin D pill and went to bed.Did you get any sunlight during those 7 hours?
Are you talking about firearms? If you know how many you have you do not have enough.
Not the same as exercising though...the Miz comes to mind...I beg to differ. I wear a step counter when I play. I just finished a 7 hour session today and walked 11.3 miles in the course of it.
I never understood why someone would switch cues all the time, needing to adjust to the deflection and overall feel...every cue I ever used (and there were only a few) I used for several years exclusively...just my two cents. Here’s a simple way of deciding if you have too many cues. Go though your collection cue by cue, one at a time.
When was the last time you did that? How often do you repeat the process of touching, looking at all your cues?
OK, I suppose it doesn’t matter because here is an easy way to decide if you own too many cues. This does not
apply to those that buy cues to just look at or beam with pride over owning. I don’t understand that & don’t want to.
Just take out your pool cues and handle them one at a time and you need to be able to recall the last time you played
with that very cue. Don’t just remember hitting some balls but when you really played pool with that very pool cue?
Then do the same thing with the next cue and every single cue thereafter? If you can’t remember when, then you have
too many cues. If it’s more than 3-4 months, you own too many cues. If it’s been more 1-2 months, it’s not one of your
favorite cues, presuming you had one. Denying you didn’t is easy to do. I know because I did it for years but we all do.
Too many cues will always be a relative proposition. You can have a 100 cues whereas someone might have just 1-2 but his were a Joel Hercek & Danny Tibbits. You had better be packing some pretty big might in your 100 cues because it’s never how many cues you own that matters to a hard core pool player. It’s always been about what cues you own & don’t deny it.
Hello, I was wondering how many cues does the average player have.. right now I have two complete sets that include shooter, jump, and break in two different bags. So I can just grab the set I want and go... how many do you guys have and is this too much..
Totally understandable. It’s an odd thing. I’ve been through a lot of cues in my life, and kept the special ones. I came into a few more special ones when a close friend died last year.
Every one I have plays amazingly, but I have my favorite that is my default go to 99% of the time, and I’m starting to feel guilty about the others just stored in cases. Somebody should be playing them, yet the thought of parting with them is undesirable, it makes me feel selfish.

Well said!!Well depends on your view of cues. I know many who own one cue - they view it like someone might view owning an iron for clothes- you only need one to do the job.
Some players, like some golfers, own multiples bc they seek out something perceived to do the job better than what they are currently using.
Some people fall into a “ collector” category - either as a true hobby or as a sort of addiction- those people always own multiple cues and many have had a 100 or more pass through their hands- I fall into that category regarding cues- sometimes recognizing that my hobby can sometimes morph into addiction/ but always enjoyable nonetheless.
There's always room for Jello!!There's actually a mathematical formula for determining the correct number of cues for you,..
n+1=x
Where n is your current number of cues and x is your ideal number.
