Advice for ADHD Player vs Slow Player

simply tell him to keep the game moving. if he doesn't, you owe him nothing in the way of so called respect.

talk while he is lining up walk around fidget in your chair and make noises. if he says something tell him he takes so long you cant sit still.
make him as miserable as you.
why let someone ruin your day. make it fun to ruin his.

I enjoy the game when the other player gets frustrated!

People on the phone or talking to friends when it is their shot annoys me. One favorite retaliation of mine, get down on a duck, a tap in Ray Charles couldn't miss, stroke a few times then straighten up and walk over to the side table for a big gulp of beer. Wipe my mouth, wipe my beer can, wipe my ass, not really I just scratch my ass. Then I will study the three ball run out a few minutes before getting around to playing.

Another favorite, particularly when they are talking to friends by the table, is to wander over to the counter and talk to the counterman. I'll make my opponent come get me. "Oh, are you ready to play pool now?" By the time I do it two or three times even the dimmest bulb figures out it isn't accidental. Another deal, get wrapped up choosing a song to play on the jukebox. If I really want music I know exactly what I want to listen to and select it before the game starts. When my opponent puts crap on the jukebox I'll retaliate with ten or fifteen minutes of Hank and Lefty. The games off the table can be more fun than those on the table. I was shooting into a corner pocket from only a couple diamonds away when the fee-ma-lee with the other player leaned over the pocket and let both tits hang free! I drilled the center of the pocket then ambled over. "Not bad but I have seen better!" She was pissed, he was pissed, I was laughing!

well, yes. It's not a word in the English language that I can find.

Why restrict yourself?(grin) Many years ago I thanked two of the biggest shit stirrers on the forum in my end of the year thankyous. One was on one side, the other on the opposite side. I thanked them both for their "Inciteful posts". A couple of people called me down for the typo, most knew there was no typo involved!

Funny you mentioned that, we have a player that plays extremely slow that everyone is annoyed on playing him. Actually he swims faster than he shoots the CB. My solution is I paid it forward by playing as slow as he is or even slower. While I can rack up some shots, I choose to put him in jail for most of my time on the table. To the point that he became annoyed of trying to make or hit a ball. I only did that game out of boredom so might as well punish someone. Didn't care if I win or lose. Just see someone suffer is good enough for me.

I've found it only bothers me when people are slow when I don't respect the reason for being slow. Like, if you're straight in and a stop shot will serve just fine, I don't want to see you taking more than 20 seconds to figure it out. On the other hand, when I freeze you to that blocker and you've got to go six rails to kick out of it or you lose, it doesn't bother me at all that it's taken you ten minutes to map it out.

The trick on how to handle this is to maintain that respect. If they're straight in, assume it's off-angle. Assume there's something about the shot that you simply can't see. Stay in that mindset. Yes, this is a bit of a mental game but this is how you win that game.
How about those that kept on chalking on and off and stroking the cue up and down over and over for atleast a minute, going down on the shot, up again to further stroke and chalk the pool cue?

just go to the t.d. and tell him to straighten things out.

if need be get others that have the same issue with the guy go complain as well and if he wont do anything stop going or have a bunch slow down themselves so the league or tournament wont finish at all unless he acts..
