    gold crown slates

Mnay here are far more knowledgable, I defer to them should I be off base. Not quite sure GC I came with adjustable feet. The Brunstone question is adressed above. Unless changed out, my research suggests the GC I had the 1 1/4" pinned and doweled Brunstone. (Although it is possible, based on...

What years were non-slate beds being introduced?

"Celebrity" table info I am uncertain if the Celebrity is/was the only model that featured the "levelite bed. It is quite possible they tried it in other lower end models. 8 Home options (44" x 88" Playfield) ------------------------------------+----------------------------------- Slate...

Yes, that as well as the color and the backer boards. I've never seen Brunstone, however from readings here it appears to have a brown/rust color hue.

What years were non-slate beds being introduced?

Brunswick produced a 2 1/2" thick one piece honeycomb bed on their "Celebrity" model. They called it "levelite". Production ran from 1965 - to early 70's. I have info from Brunswick if you would like more details.

    gold crown slates

I had this discussion with RKC. I have 1" pinned and doweled slate on my GC III. The rails (with larger counters and flat bar casting attachment) are from a CG II. It was explained by Glen and others, Brunswick would use leftover parts near the end of a production run on a newer model. Glen...

    Gold Crown 3 question.

I too was intrigued by Craigs post since I am in the process of a GC III refinish. I called Brunswick and spoke with Marvin E, Brunswick does not actually do the refinishing. He referred me to the company that does the GC castings, Al's Polishing in Toledo, OH - 419-476-8857 ask for Rick. I...

How do you know where the cueball is going ?

I would agree. Whether golf, tennis, pool or any hand /eye activity, conscious thought process can get in the way of execution.

Did you do all the rails? Contact adhesive? Good Luck.

Servicky, When you peeled back top layer another layer was under it, was that also a laminate material? Or is it possible it was the backing from the top piece of laminate that had seperated? Just curious.

I've thought of it often, never attempted. Consider using real wood veneer, the time and energy in labor is the same (actually veneer may be a bit easier to work) so why not have a real wood finish. Sealed and finished properly should work well. IMO. I've recovered many drums with veneer if you...

    smoking in a pool hall?

Just a thought. Wonder why Brunswick saw fit to place ashtrays in the corner castings of some GC's?

    SOS - different day

A noble one indeed. However I don't believe one can expect the pro's to to freely dole out "secrets". This is their income source. I've read this forum for several years, only recently posting. I've found many valuable hints and tips. Opinions are offered freely, step by step manuals and...

    MALI Vestra - opinions

Hope this is the appropriate forum. Wondering what the pro mechanics think about this cloth. You handle more cloth in a month than I in a lifetime. They claim it is 100% worsted. Advantages or disadvatage? tia.
