    Cues for Sale... Without Extensions

I've been meaning to get an after-market extension for my cheapy factory McDermott, I have sourced them. It's been a "gonna do" for a while now. Maybe this fall...hard for me to put much into pool gear with the way I'm playing lately.

how are ya'll doing in league ?

Well, the only thing that's changed since the last time I posted in this thread is that I've somehow gotten worse 🤷‍♂️ I got smoked 19-1 in APA 9-ball last week. By a SL3. My opponent didn't play way over his head, he just made the shots that I left him. Regularly. Last night I only lost...

A challenge to forum members: Shoot through the curtain

"The pocket" in music is probably as difficult to explain as CTE ;) It's a feel. Even with the click, there is a pocket that can be found, tho not always, nor required. The style of music helps determine how important it is. A "hook" is also difficult to explain, tho not as tough as...

Congratulations to Mike Dechaine winning Smokey Mountain Shootout

Hey, he was just getting warmed up a few weeks ago when he came up and took The Bangor Bash, at the end of March ;)

Great quote that lots of players need to read in an effort to speed up the game.

Unrelated to the overall speed discussion here, I find sometimes that I subconsciously "get sucked in" to how a player does his practice strokes...and I catch myself kinda copying them. Which sucks, for me...until I realize that I'm doing it, and go back to what I should be doing. On my league...

    Dechaine vs Krause

Mike played in the Maine State 9-ball tourney at Forest City in early December, and of course won. Besides himself, there were 5 others rated above 700 in the tourney, so not a ton of top level competition for him. (Highest being 746) 95 players in the tournament.

How many of you steal chalk from the pool hall?

I can honestly say that I do not. I always use my own, be it Outvsille, or Predator, or whatever brand I've happened to get last. That goes in my pocket, not on the rail. I do grab a few pieces of Masters when I go to our league Tri Cup tournaments, the League Operator has a box there for...

    Non-Gambling Pool Players

That is generally a fixed amount that you're paying in, with a chance of a return on the investment. To me. Yes, it is playing for money, and there is something on the line, compared to funsies. But it's not quite the same as gambling sets. To me.

    Non-Gambling Pool Players

after having made my post earlier, and reading others posts, I put a little more thought into it. If i were to gamble, I would very likely only gamble with people I knew. The only part of gambling on pool that I don't like is the "hustle', conning people, taking advantage of someone, and the...
