Schon: How do YOU like them?

Love mine. I really dig the stiff hit.

    8 Ball - You're on The 8.....................

I like the corner bank illustrated above better than the cut too.

    Pool Table From China.....

    No idea. Definitely not Simonis.

    Pool Table From China.....

Friend of mine got a similar table. Chinese, low price. Doesn't seem too bad, other than the cloth. There's something about the cloth on that table that just doesn't play right.

    Aska Cues..

Bought a Schon STL from them. On time, well packaged. When I took it to get a new tip put on, the cue maker said it was an incredibly straight shaft. I'd have no problems buying from them again.

    8 Ball, Your Stripes......

That's what I was thinking of. I wouldn't be accurate enough to get behind the 9, but I could slow roll to hit it and leave it on the rail somewhere.

    A pause poll . . .

Noticed a huge difference in my accuracy and just the overall quality of my stroke when I decidedly added a pause after my practice strokes and on the backswing.

How Would You Play This? Part II

I'd try to play safe with the 1 on the long rail and the cue on the same rail behind the 3/4. Then I'd weep when I miss it horribly and my opponent gets out in 2 shots.

    Are there thriving pool rooms?

Magoo's in Tulsa, OK generally has a 1+ hour wait for a table on Friday/Saturday nights...and that's with 40+ tables. They get a lot of the bar crowd in there, from what I can tell.

Pool playing in America is a waste

You can check out any time you like...but you can never leave.

How well do you really play pool?

Probably a low C? That's just a guess, I don't really know where I would rank. Played in my first 9 ball tournament last night and came in 8th out of 30 something. I can break and run if there's nothing too tricky...on average I'll run 5-6 balls before making an error. High run in 14.1 is...

Tip work in the Tulsa area?

Kudos for a fantastic recommendation. Mr. Petree was quick, courteous, and the work he did (tip, take a ding out of the shaft, and clean the shaft) is fantastic. The shaft feels better than the day I got the cue. So thanks to Belmicah and Mr. Petree.
